Position: Project Management & Internal Communications


Division/Department: Group Strategy and Sales & Marketing


Location: Beijing


Main goals and objectives:


? Act as a core team member on behalf of VGC GSSM and in accordance of VGC HR requirement by overseeing Group GSSM organizational efficiency (e.g. VGC GSSM, VGIC, VWHK, etc).

? Based on VGC’s overall business strategy to drive the restructuring and transformation of VGC GSSM and the JV/subsidiaries for higher business value.

? Identify critical business issues and initiate process re-engineering projects at VGC and JV/subsidiaries level to sustain Group’s long-term competitiveness.

? Introduce innovative management technology to the GSSM to improve cross-functional and inter-departmental communication and maximize Group synergies among all parties

? Secure talent for EVP GSSM on senior level placements for new projects e.g. Mobility Asia, Project Kodai

? Install senior management internal seminars / coaching / workshops to keep staff abreast of key industry topics to further support them in their daily operations


Your Responsibilities:

1.Formulate and communicate business and organizational restructuring strategy for VGC GSSM and subsidiaries

? Work closely with the EVP GSSM to define the business vision and China GSSM strategy

? Perform diagnosis and benchmarking study to identify and prioritize the key business issues within JVs and subsidiaries

? Design detailed solution and project plan to guide JV/subsidiary for further strategic implementation

? Prepare EVP and BOM presentation on business strategy and business review to improve internal vision understanding and performance communication

? Organize regular communication meetings to meet internal and external stakeholder groups’ needs and improve the involvement of different parties


2.Drive and oversee organizational changes

? Explore strategic initiative on GSSM business model change and organizational restructuring at VGC GSSM level and JV/subsidiary level

? Work closely with VGC HR to review organizational efficiency and effectiveness and evaluate grading structure

? Work closely with VGC HR and GSSM department heads to ensure smooth and accurate process for headcount planning round, e.g. Efficiency program

3.Initiate and drive changes on process and technology

? Identify critical business issues and initiate process re-engineering projects at VGC and JV/subsidiaries level to sustain Group’s long-term competitiveness

? Introduce innovative management technology to the company to improve cross-functional communication and maximize Group synergies among all parties


4.Secure top talent at senior level

? Work closely with VGC HR to scope out and build talent pipeline for new projects e.g. Mobility Asia, Project Kodai

? Liase with headhunters on market situation for talent and candidate availability

? Work with VGC HR and under the guidance of the EVP GSSM build up organizational concept for new projects e.g. Mobility Asia


5.Develop senior management workshops

? Work closely with Training department head to create program for senior management programs and seminars

? Identify key cases studies for use at management workshops in order to stimulate brainstorming / debates / discussions in order to further enhance current working methodologies

? Based on current network, seek the support of key industry leaders to act as panel speakers, interviewees and further build network in order to continuously secure influential figures to speak at the workshops (for example, Blue Focus, Alibaba)

? Work with external consulting firms to develop program and to support with overall facilitation during each workshop


Our Requirements:


? Relevant Bachelors or Masters degree

? 5+ years of project management and consulting experience including use of project management tools

? 6-8 years of relevant corporate experience

? Automotive business and product related knowledge

? Proven ability in organization structure diagnosis and design, as well as process reengineering

? Proven ability to diagnose and solve problems, ability to drive changes and execute plan on operational level

? Strategy development knowledge

? Change management knowledge, ability to learn and integrate new concepts and processes; encourages innovation and is willing to take responsibility and risks

? Project management and budget control capabilities

? Cross-culture management experience is preferred

? Excellent communication skills

? English and Chinese language skills, German advantageous

? Advanced in MS Office and MS Project
