Under the guidelines of the general management, the DCFO shall be particularly responsible for the cost control of company’s projects, going from the tendering phase to the projects’ closing phase:
- Monthly Reporting (P&L, Balance Sheet, Operating Cash-Flow, P&L by division)
- Perform variance analysis on resources (costs) and work activities (volumes), and develop a regular management reporting structure for exceptional analysis and highlight issues regarding over/under utilizations;
- Assist the Finance Department Manager to prepare/update the company’s yearly budget and Strategic Action Plan
- Jointly with the CFO, validate and issue the statutory reports to authorities and the periodical reports to the shareholders;
- Perform Periodic Financial Review (PFR), including earned value, cost at completion computation reviews and validations, on all projects, ensure reporting to management;
- Assist tendering manager in establishing and compiling all the cost elements of an offer (cost, cash curve, etc.) and validate the profit margin calculations of each tender;
- Perform costs reduction analysis with project managers by mapping out and tracking down costs drivers to ascertain possibilities of elimination or reductions;
- Carry out costs-benefits analysis for each cost drivers within projects to facilitate the decision making process of the project team and the management team;
- Liaise closely with the purchasing and project managers regarding both project capital acquisitions and expenditure requirements to ensure that best practices are followed;
- Assist Project Manager to close a project, validate project profitability calculations at completion and summarize the lessons-learned;
Role Requirements
Behavioural Competencies required
? Good data analyst, good synthesis capacity;
? Rigor, factual, data-minded and data-based speaker;
? Capacity to challenge “usual” or “past experienced” practices, using applicable benchmarking;
? A team player but able to work independently and multi-tasking at the same time work in a multicultural environment.
Education required
? Bachelor degree or + in Accounting/Finance or related disciplines.
Experience required
? Fully qualified finance professional with 8/10 years of experience in similar position within multinational industries, preferably in Joint-Venture (JV) companies.
? Fluency in Chinese and English is required.
