Bell Labs' research facility in Shanghai is a leading lab working for creating world-leading communication technologies, particularly including the areas of next generation mobile system and technologies, ultra-high speed optical transmission, SDN/NFV, cloud computing, Internet of Things, industrial control and robotic technology, artificial intelligence. We have openings for inspired innovators in all above research areas.
Job Description
1. Create outstanding research and innovative technologies for networking and telecommunication, industrial control and artificial intelligence
2. Carry out ambitious research work by investigating novel solutions with potential for breakthrough innovations.
3. Publish the outcomes of the research in major top scientific conferences and worldwide.
4. Create and maintain strong collaborative relationships with researchers from academia, leading research bodies, business units and government agencies.
5. Generate intellectual property through the patenting of new ideas.
Qualifications
1. Ph.D and have at least two years’ work experience in communication, computer science, EE, automatic control, artificial intelligence or other related fields.
2. A proven record in research with of publications in prestigious journals and conferences.
3. Comprehensive understanding and solid knowledge in wireless/wireline communications, or SDN/NFV/Cloud Computing, or industrial control and robotic technology, artificial intelligence, etc.
4. Experience in prototype building, system simulation and development activities is plus.
5. Ability to conduct independent research while contributing to global projects that span across multiple Bell Labs sites.
6. Ability of capturing technological trends and defining technology plan, Solid ability of keen insight and decision-making.
7. Excellent spoken, written communications skills in English.
8. High responsibility, self-motived and team spirit.
