JOB TITLE: Plant Purchasing Manager-PTSB Sealing Nanchang

LOCATION NAME: Nanchang/Shanghai

REPORTS TO: General Manager - Nanchang Sealing, Ltd.

DEPARTMENT: Powertrain Sealing&Bearing (PTSB)



GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:



· Localize 75% of the Plant Spend, ensuring the necessary materials, tools, services for the operation of the company
- Identify and validate suppliers
- keep contact with suppliers, negotiation with existing and new suppliers in Coordination with Commodity Managers
- Develop contracts with Commodity managers. Implementation and regular review of Contracts.

· Ensure good quality and on-time delivery of the supplied products
- achieve budget targets of suppliers PPM and OTD
- co-coordinate quality activity of suppliers
- manage suppliers' audit and suppliers' improvement

· Ensure the optimal cost level in terms of necessary materials, tools, services for the operation of the company
- achieve costs' targets and setting cost saving actions
- observe the market and ensuring consistency of market data and suppliers' information
- integrate suppliers to achieve optimizations

· Optimize the number of suppliers and improve payment terms
- reduce the number of invoices
- Improve company Cash flow

· Execute HR responsibilities as required (performance reviews, personnel issues, training, etc.)

· Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

· Ability to manage Supply Base in collaboration with multicultural Central Family Buyers. Efficiently implement Commodity strategies through the plant

· Support Plant production ensuring best costs, quality and deliveries




JOB REQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelors Degree in Business / Materials Management or Logistics required with a preference for an MBA or Purchasing School is preferred. Technical undergrad and/or technical Masters also preferred.

· 5-8 years Purchasing experience in Automotive industry sector or like industrial/technical commodities.

· Prior experience as Plant Purchasing Manager is preferred

· Solid working knowledge of current IT technologies, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

· Fluent Mandarin and English are required.

· Knowledge of SAP
