Head of Finance Aspac

Agfa HealthCare, a member of the Agfa-Gevaert Group, is a leading global provider of diagnostic imaging and healthcare IT solutions. For our Sales and Services Organization in the Asia/Pacific (ASPAC) region, we are looking for a Head of Finance ASPAC. This position will report functionally into the Global Head of Finance (HQ) but operationally into the regional Head of ASPAC.
As a Head of Finance you oversee planning and forecasting activities and put in place necessary management reporting to support the Sales and Services Organization in business decision making. You ensure that the required control environment is in place and support timely roll out of administrative systems and tools. Together with the Controlling team, and indirectly also with the Accounting team, you ensure financial reporting (both management reporting and local GAAP/IFRS reporting) is done in a timely manner and in line with both local statutory and group guidelines and procedures. You facilitate the understanding of the financials to a variety of audiences (Regional and HQ management team, external and internal auditors, finance bodies, employees, etc.) and ensure that required actions are taken to ensure continuity and improve results of the company. You commit to a high level of detail, have feeling for figures and live high data-quality standards. You drive results by challenging the ASPAC management team in a constructive way, by partnering with the regional MD and their direct reports through pro-active support in realizing the plans and targets. In this role you are a member of the ASPAC management team, work closely together with them and also liaise with the Agfa global shared services centers. You will report to the Global Head of Finance and manage the regional team of controllers.
Your responsibilities:
? You are responsible for providing accurate management reports and analyses and you advise Management on Turnover, Gross Margin, Profitability and Net Working Capital evolution and advise on areas of financial risks and opportunities.
? You take a leading role in forward looking reporting. You analyze and advise Management on overall Forecast-, Order Intake- , Order book- and Funnel-evolution, allowing anticipation on cost measures or resource constraints.
? You identify opportunities for further profitability improvements (Imaging, Imaging IT, Customer-Projects, etc.) and support implementation of these improvement programs in the region.
? You take the leading role in the budgeting and forecasting process. You coordinate collection and consolidation of all relevant (financial) parameters. You duly report, analyze and advise on results to both local Management and the Global Finance team.
? You ensure that administrative systems and tools are rolled out in time and in compliance with the global HealthCare systems and processes. You initiate, coordinate and track improvements of financial processes and ensure the respect for financial standards.
? You manage and motivate subordinate staff, including reviewing and assessing their performance, supporting their professional development and enabling them to optimize their contribution across the organization. You anticipate that required skills and resources are in place to meet changing business needs.
? In cooperation with the Global Accounting Organisation, you ensure that the ASPAC Accounting department is organized effectively, that established accounting policies, procedures and practices are implemented and administered and that operating results have been recorded and reported accurately and timely. To accomplish this you participate in the performance reviews of the Accounting team and monitor the agreed SLA’s
? With regards to Credit & Collections and Customer Finance you ensure proper implementation of the C&C Policy and Governance to control risk. You conduct credit investigations of existing and new customers and establish credit limits in liaison with the Global/Regional C&C manager. You monitor collections, you recommend action on delinquent accounts and you might participate in discussions with customers to provide special financing arrangements or resolve delinquencies. You target for the integrated use of Customer Finance to facilitate sales and create additional business.
? With regards to Taxes, you supervise timely and accurate filing of tax returns and approve the final submission.
? You liaise with the external and internal auditors with respect to Financial audits and ensure that a proper control environment is put in place and maintained.
The profile we are looking for:
? You have a university degree in finance or equivalent through experience
? You have significant experience in a financial environment with preferably a solid controlling background
? You are process and customer oriented and have a high sense of accuracy
? You are strong in problem analysis and have a proven track record of planning and executing skills
? You are a good communicator both verbal and in writing – in English.
? You are able to build a cooperative relationship with both the management at HQ as with the regional MD (your most important customers).
