Roles & Responsibilities - Ventures

The Analyst will report to a line manager within Rouse Advisory services who is working primarily with the Rouse Venture’s project.

Operations

- Assist with putting together and translation of business plans, financial projections, teasers, presentations and other materials in relation to Ventures projects, dealing directly with Ventures clients. Ensure that you have a strong understanding of each of the projects.

- Conducting research and analysis of various industries, in particular building a network of "go to" experts in different fields who can provide immediate human intelligence

- Using networking and cold-calling, facilitate meetings and build up a network of contacts in funds, corporations or other advisors who may invest in or provide support for Ventures clients

- Coordinate, set up and attend meetings with potential partners and investors of Ventures clients

Business Development

- Identify channels to promote Rouse Ventures, including online and social media, publications and events, in particular, channels which present Rouse to a fresh audience outside of the IP / legal community

- Identify opportunities for Rouse to provide IP services to Ventures clients or other potential clients; educate contacts about Rouse and its cooperation with SCP

Managing and Admin

- With appropriate admin support from Rouse, maintain hard copy and soft copy files, in particular crucial agreements, and collaborative web tools


Roles & Responsibilities - Other

- Working with attorneys or litigators on various billable technology advisory matters

- Attending regular meetings of patent and other practice groups to maintain involvement in new developments and to be accessible to new advisory projects;

? Bachelors or Masters qualification with a preferred background in business administration, marketing, finance
? A combined science or legal background is a bonus however not a requirement
? High competency with designing PowerPoint pitch documents and reports
? High competency with analyzing data in Excel (e.g. pivot tables, data analysis, some macro knowledge)
? Strong leadership and team-working skills
? Ability to work proactively and independently with limited supervision
? High attention to detail and professionalism
? Strong Chinese and English language skills are essential
