Company and Position Description
- Siemens Corporate Technology (CT) China is one of several global Siemens Corporate Technology R&D centers. - We are building up a new R&D team to deliver solutions for small healthcare products. We are looking for colleagues with passion for engineering innovation, which is the most valuable trait in our team. The ideal candidate for this position should have a Master degree in Electrical Engineering; Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or other related fields, with more than 3 years of experience in hardware design and development.

Responsibilities:
1. Work in a global multidisciplinary R&D team with both international and local engineers to design and develop small medical devices.
2. Research, design, development, testing and support of the electronic hardware and mechanical components used in medical devices, production equipment and research support apparatus.
3. Be responsible for the hardware development process and compliant with Siemens new product development procedural requirements.
4. Develop hardware architecture and platform plans
5. Develop estimates for hardware tasks and deliver against those estimates of work to enable effective project management
6. Participate in engineering production builds, material procurement, and build planning.
7. Work with vendors to obtain quotations and purchase prototypes.
8. Write effective specifications, working with stakeholders to translate business needs into functional requirements.

Skills:
1. Strong experience in designing electronic circuits including digital circuits and analog circuits
2. Digital design experience in FPGA/CPLD
3. PCB design experience with EDA tools such as Mentor PADS
4. Experience of design and development with Microcontrollers
5. Knowledge of wireless technologies including Bluetooth or 802.11
6. Design experience for high volume manufacturing in medical device or consumer electronic industry is preferred
7. Knowledge of mechanical design software such as ProE, Solidworks or NX is preferred

- Candidates need to have strong interpersonal skills, be able to work independently on problems, be an effective team player and be willing to accept challenges and responsibility
