- We are building up a new R&D team to deliver solutions for small healthcare products. We are looking for colleagues with passion for engineering innovation, which is the most valuable trait in our team. The ideal candidate for this position should have a bachelor/master’s degree in Computer Science; Electrical Engineering; Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or other related fields, with more than 3 years of experience in designing and developing embedded software.

Responsibilities:
1. Work in a global multidisciplinary R&D team with both international and local engineers to design and develop small medical devices.
2. Collaborates with hardware and off-device software teams during all phases of the product development lifecycle.
3. Build prototypes and conduct technical experiments that lead to new solutions and validate the technical feasibility.
4. Develop software architecture plans
5. Develop estimates for software tasks and deliver against those estimates of work to enable effective project management
6. Document activities related to the development process and compliance with Siemens new product development procedural requirements.
7. Write effective specifications, working with stakeholders to translate business needs into functional requirements.

Skills:
1. Strong embedded C/C++/Java programming skills at Linux/Win CE
2. Experience in embedded software with real time requirements, microcontroller based firmware design and development, and low level device drivers.
3. Good knowledge of operating systems kernel (Linux/Windows)
4. Experience in digital image processing or medical devices is preferred.
5. Experience using various digital communication formats: USB, TCP/IP, RS232/485 is preferred
6. GUI development for control and status of mobile devices is preferred.
7. Agile software development process experience is preferred

- Candidates need to have strong interpersonal skills, be able to work independently on problems, be an effective team player and be willing to accept challenges and responsibility.
