Title: Sr. Technical Network Support Engineer /Manager

Location: Chengdu, Sichuan, China



Summary:

We are seeking a Sr. Technical Network Support Engineer/Manager who wants to be a part of a fast-paced and challenging start-up environment. Our ideal candidate will provide maintain global support function, organization, system and platform to achieve company target for this function. This position requires a person with in-depth understanding of complex network deployment models and strong troubleshooting skills and undertakes the responsibilities of pre-sales support and post-sales support for the carrier networks in Japan and China.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide technical support to SE, partners and customers for various technologies as related to SKSpruce Super Gateway and related wireless products
Formulate technical action plans for analyzing and resolving customer problems
Responsible for all kinds of application level testing, demonstration for customers and simulate problems in lab
· Perform networks design, installation and commissioning, system verification and testing to determine appropriate network design and software configurations.

Participate in serviceability enhancement requirements and provide technical leadership in the development and integration of carrier network.
Work effectively in a team environment, including with QA and development engineers
Manage support cases to ensure issues are recorded, tracked, resolved, and follow ups are done in a timely manner.
Provide fault isolation and root cause analysis for technical issues.
Publish Technical Support Bulletins and other technical documentation in the Knowledge Base.
Review of technical documentation for training materials, technical marketing collateral, manuals, troubleshooting guides


Qualifications:

More than 5-15 years hands-on layer2/3 switching/routing network experience on designing, supporting and troubleshooting
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences
Strong knowledge of Layer2/3 technologies including VLANs, 802.1q and STP etc tunneling protocol; IP routing protocols, such as Static Route, OSPF, RIP and VRRP/HSRP, etc.
Strong knowledge of DNS, DHCP, NAT, VPN, Radius, AAA and Network Management Systems (NMS).
Familiarity with 802.1x, QoS, and general security tunneling protocols, like EtherIP, CAPWAP, GRE, IPSEC, etc
Expert knowledge of user access and authentication protocols and methods, in particular EAP-SIM, Web Portal, WPA/WPA2, WEP Radius.
BSCS/EE or equivalent required (CCIE is big plus)
Speak Japanese or/and English is big plus.
Up to 30% travel
