Job Description
Reporting to the National Sales Manager, the Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for spearheading business development in the assigned sales districts through direct accounts and channel partners to achieve sales goals and performance expectations set by the company. As the business grows, the incumbent will be expected to build and lead a team of Account Managers to expand market reach. He/She will provide leadership in maintaining and expanding relationships with key customers in hospital and commercial laboratories, through understanding the customers' overall objectives and requirements so that their needs can be met in a timely and satisfactory manner.
- Develop sales strategy and plans for direct sales and indirect channels to penetrate into targeted market segments and meet sales goals
- Monitor the performance of distributors and provide logistical support to achieve growth plans and revenue target
- Identify, evaluate and appoint additional distributors/channel partners
- Prepare account plans to identify customers short term and long term needs
- Prepare monthly, quarterly sales forecasts and schedules
- Prepare reports on the budget, expenses and sales activities
- Work very closely with Marketing, Product Management and Operations team to ensure advertising and promotion programs executed are in support of business strategy
- Ensure post implementation support including engineering and training are provided to assigned accounts
- Expedite resolution of customer problems/complaints
- Recruit, train and develop and motivate regional sales team
Qualification
* Bachelor's Degree in Pathology, Clinical Medicine, or related Bio Science major.
* 5-7 years of relevant sales experience, selling products on pathology detection,IVD ,medical devices or life science related customers. Experience calling on Reference Labs, Medical Centers, Pathologists or related providers highly desirable. Training on Agilent Diagnostic products will be provided.
* Disciplined, with the ability to learn and adapt quickly and demonstrates leadership potential.
* Experience with both direct and distribution selling environments is required.
* Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively and influence others to achieve results.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Proficient PC software applications (PowerPoint, Excel) and navigating CRM tools.
* Willingness to travel as necessary within assigned geography.
