职位描述：
BASIC FUNCTION
Create innovative concepts, products, services, experiences and human interfaces through the design process while recognizing the influences from manufacturing, marketing, engineering, cost and timing.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Lead the design of key NPD projects for Karat/Gorlde/Novita and involved in end to end development.
a) Provide premium concept base on new product strategy/plan delivered by product team
b) Assessing and rolling out the design, with balance in cost, usability and design, by close work with all related teams including product, engineers as well as suppliers.
c) Closely work with product development and manufacturing team in the end to end process, from concept build up till the final commercialization.
d) Product covers all categories under Karat & Gorlde brands, including bath tub, faucet, toilet, commercial, bathroom furniture, basin, stainless steel products and Heathcare products.

2. Construct the consumer insights of K&B
a) By working with marketing team, periodically conduct consumer researches through diversified channels such as interviews or home visits.
b) Construct and updating the consumer insights including life style, using behavior and design preference
c) Clarify consumer needs both direct and indirect. Provide according solutions by premium product concept

3. Track the industry development and build the insight of the design trend and tech innovation
a) Construct the communication channels both internal and external among designers/ design houses or other industry groups.
b) Timely conduct market research, both 2nd hand or 1st hand and continuously tracking the industry trend, including most updated techniques and design concepts.

4. Conduct new concept design every year, by including the most updated tech or characterized design
a) Based on market & user intelligence, assess and select a theme form the leading edges, either new trend, new tech or characterized design.
b) Provide product concepts with drafted designs
c) Product covers full category of Karat and Gorlde.

5. Support in marketing projects
a) Fully support in design work of marketing projects by close work with marketing team.
b) Design or support for POSM & catalogue, dealer conference materials and retail shopfront development.

RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS
         Supervisory Relationships:
1. Reports to Associate Director-3 brands
2. Dotted Line to DIR-DESIGN STUDIO, K&B ASIA PACIFIC
         Organization Relationships:
1. Works alongside Engineering, Marketing, Communications,and Manufacturing in a team environment.
         External Business Relationships:
1. Occasional contact with design consultants.
2. Occasional contact with vendors and suppliers.
3. Attends industry trade show and seminars as needed to maintain awareness of competitor products, designs, and overall consumer product design trends.
4. Attends industrial design seminars and courses as necessary to maintain professional skills.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
1. Bachelor’s Degree from accredited university or college of design with academic emphasis on product design.
2. Typically has 2-4 years of experience in interior design, architecture, furniture, lighting, consumer research and/or other related field. 举报 分享
