Task& Resbonsibilities:
Inventory Management Operations
Ø Supervise stock control and spare parts and accessories reordering for all company brands (PC & Smart, Truck& Bus, Van) to the suppliers for all 5 Chinese warehouses;
Ø Procurement of specific assortments (Star Diagnosis, technical documentation, pre-packaging
Ø material, etc.)
Ø Supervising and coordination of all relevant inventory management processes
Ø With suppliers and other departments (e.g. initial stocking, new model launch, CCC,
Ø marketing campaigns, recall campaigns)
Strategic inventory management
Ø Responsibility of the stock-on-hand of the warehouses, steer all the Inventory management parameters (e.g. safety stock, reordering frequency, lead time)
Ø Ensure a smooth reordering planning in order to guarantee a smooth Inbound process, reduce air freight shipment costs, and reduce intercompany transfers between the warehouses.
Ø Define and manage scrapping budget, reduce obsolescence and surplus stock, define criteria and coordinate dealer returns and return to the suppliers.
Ø Develop and implement an inventory strategy which considers the China specifics
(CCC, importation regulations)
Build-up of inventory management and development of new processes/concepts
Ø Plan new inventory strategies and network reorganization for all company brands for all Chinese warehouses according to the complex market structure
Ø Strategic planning of warehouse concepts and capacities;
Ø Develop and implement procurement and lifecycle processes for local suppliers (JVs & manufactories in China);
Ø Develop and implement respective reporting and controlling tools and define of all inventory management KPI (Service level, stock turn, airfreight ratio…)
Ø Lead and conduct cross functional / cross divisional management projects
Personnel Development / Leadership
Ø Build-up of a new inventory management team, allocation and delegation of tasks and responsibilities.
Qualification, Competencies & Experience:
Education
Ø Degree in Automotive / Engineering / Business Administration/Logistics
Experience
Ø Minimum of 10 years automotive industry (or comparable) experience in after-sales and parts logistics, procurement functions are preferred.
Ø At least 5 years experiences on leadership and people management.
Specific Knowledge
Ø Excellent written and spoken command of English; German preferable.
Ø Interpersonal and problem solving skills, team orientation are necessary along with computer competency, e.g. MS Office applications and Lotus Notes.
