Job Summary / Mission:
1. Provide support for all Information Technology products and services. Support may include answering questions, troubleshooting problems, educating customers regarding software or hardware functionality, and communicating policy.
2. Determines the most effective manner to resolve client's technical issue. Engages in research and in depth troubleshooting to resolve technical issue by using the Knowledge Base if necessary.
3. Resolves Level 1 tickets. Escalates complex and/or high priority problems to the appropriate support groups for resolution and follows them up.
4. Records required customer and problem information in the Altiris Ticketing System. Not only updates tickets with appropriate information but also closes them with a well-documented resolution.
5. Works on Service Desk related projects as assigned by manager.
6. Work in accordance with the ICTs goals and responsibilities.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
1. Provide support in accordance with the functional (and ICT’s) goals and responsibilities
2. Ensure the effective and timely resolution of technical problems, keeping customers informed of the progress
3. Document solutions to problems and record them in the IT Knowledge Base where appropriate
4. Contribute to the departmental goals, metrics and SLA’s
5. Promote and work in accordance with the ICT procedures and policies
6. Advise customers on their use of standard ICT applications and hardware.
7. Deployment of hardware / software to end-users
8. Work with other ICT functional groups (local ICT managers, networking group etc) as necessary to resolve support issues
9. Perform other related duties as required to support Business
10. Smartphones and mobile devices support: Deployment and troubleshooting.
Work Experience Required
1. Experience gained within a similar role for a business preferably within a global operation and supporting remote sites/users
2. Computer deployment and management using centralized tools.
3. Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
4. Windows 7 Expert
5. Hardware Certified (A+ as an example)
6. Windows Active Directory
7. Microsoft Office Products, Office 365
8. Internet Usage
9. TCP/IP
10. Mobile Device Usage and Management, iOS and/or Android expertise
11. Basic and Advanced Trouble Shooting of PC and Mobile Technology

1. Self-starter who can demonstrate the ability to be pro-active and work on their own initiative
2. Team player who can work well within the departmental team and cross-functional teams for the benefit of the business
3. Exhibits a positive “can do” attitude with an absolute sense of urgency
