PRC Retail Channel Marketing Program Manager – AR Program Manager
The Retail Channel Marketing Program role sits within the channel marketing team in China. This person is responsible for visual merchandising marketing execution in the authorized reseller channel. The job scope is made up of the following categories:
• Own account VM strategy development, planning, execution and integration between category management, sales and internal support teams (digital marketing and retail service team) to drive AR store retail presence optimization for the ultimate sell thru achievement goal.
• Drive the store presence by improving design, fixture deployment and in store merchandising guidance optimization. Account customized programs to improve account CPE and drive business result
• Collaborate with Services, Category, and Sales stakeholders for retail channel planning, execution and feedback for AR shop front presence.
• Project management of AR decoration guidance and fixture deployment as well as VM guidance to drive the best in class VM execution at the best cost.
• Own the look and feel of the retail store environment.
• Manage the vendor in terms of cost and service quality. Responsible for the vendor source and bidding to drive the ROI.
The Retail Channel Marketing Manager provides leadership and strategic direction on Microsoft presence in the AR channel. This person is responsible for the planning, management and co-ordination of category, account team and retail services to execute programs in the account.
This role will report to the Director of Channel marketing in CCG, Microsoft China.
Responsibility:
Account Marketing Management:
o Partner with Account team to deliver to their account specific quarterly marketing programs
o Land Category programs at the account level
o Knowledge of account level inventory and lifecycle management at your accounts in consideration of driving marketing programs.
o Integrate with the Account teams and Retail Services to build account specific Marketing plans for training, merchandising, online, and demo plans by account
o Manage implementation of marketing plans in a fiscally responsible way/according to plan
o Understand and implement product level marketing plans at accounts based on budget requirements and inputs.
o Understand best practices across retail and other product categories
o Understand and measure ROI of marketing activities and programs by account
Category Cooperation:
o Understand each category programs;
o Integrate category programs with seasonality and priority at the account level;
o Reporting back to category on program execution status, issues, lessons and learns, etc
Retail Services Cooperation:
o Work with Retail Services team to ensure a solid execution landing into the account stores in key cities;
o Summarize in-store execution for the retailer;
Qualification:
Minimum 5-7 year experience – channel field marketing, product management, project management, marketing management or related field (retailer or vendor experience is a plus).
Track record in and high degree of implementation is a must.
Proven success in operating within a variety of cultures and corporate environments.
Agency/Vendor Management.
Account Marketing Management.
A marketing, business or related field is needed. MBA or equivalent degreed is preferred
Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively and concisely both verbally and in written form.
Excellent organization skills and ability to effectively manage multiple projects.
Strong team oriented individual.
Being a self-starter.
Relationship management - ability to effectively influence others in multiple groups and collaborate to achieve specific objectives.
Ability to work independently and take action to achieve position goals and objectives.
Ability to remain productive and focused in a fast paced, evolving and ambiguous environment.
Knowledge of Microsoft strategy and relative strength of our products within a given category.
Proficient in use of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio, Outlook)
