职位描述
The growth of the China market is expected to double over the next three years. PGS is currently engaged in developing a talent strategy for the Asia market. This position will place an engineering operations leader (OEL) locally in the region that will: a) reduce the frequency and cost of international travel, b) reduce the number and cost of ex-patriates currently living in the region, c) improve the speed and decision making progress as a result of increased familiarity with language, culture, and local, state, and national governement compliance issues, d) provide much needed additional career path growth for Asian colleagues, and e) deliver faster results that support Pfizer competitive advantages. This China based position will be responsible for providing engineering leadership and customer interface activities to the Asian Region across Business and Operating Units. Additionally the leader will be responsible for fostering PGE's Vision and Mission:
One Engineering, leading innovation and transformation across Pfizer. Delivering a competitive advantage across Pfizer by developing and leveraging our diverse engineering talents, capabilities, and global reach.
Responsiblilities:
- Leverage internal and external engineering resources in the region to deliver highest quality lowest cost solutions.
- Provide leadership oversight of above site capital projects in the region.
Work in close cooperation and collaboration with PGE Network Engineering Leaders
- Contribute toward the development of Strategic and tactical plans for the region that are in harmony with Operational and Business
Unit goals.
- Develop and execute projects (acquisitions, dispositions, relocations, etc.) based on the capital or strategic plan, portfolio reviews, or
on an ad hoc basis based on business needs.
- Identify the need for additional internal and external resources (design, project management, facilities management, etc.) and direct
their activities.
- Understand customer and quality factors for Business Unit and local site operations.
- Ensure Operational Unit understanding of PGE initiatives and workstreams.
- Working with the Operational Unit, develop the annual Capital Budget and provide guidance for site engineering Operating Expense
Budgets
- Oversee the effective application of PGE Global Applications and value streams in the region.
- Create and maintain an agile engineering customer representative team that is capable of quickly adopting to diverse and multiple
changing business environments.
- Instill a culture of engineering activities that comply with the highest safety and ethical standards.
- Direct the activities of, monitor performance of regional customer representatives and site engineering.
- Manage contracted services as required to ensure performance per scope of work and compliance with contractual agreements.
- Work closely with the other project related teams/functions to manage all projects on sites in a timely, cost effective manner at
budgeted levels.
- As a member of the PGE team, contribute to the development of local business solutions.
- Cooperate with the local site engineering leaders in developing regional best practices.
- Oversight responsibility for the activities of all regional customer representatives engaged in customer facing functions.
- In collaboration with engineering operations and ERT teams, implement and monitor environmental and regional safety performance
provide oversight direction to identify, drive and participate in improvement and energy efficiency initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Qualifications:
BS degree in engineering minimum
Masters degree in engineering or business adminstration preferred.
Experience: 15+ years experience in pharmaceutical project or site engineering operations role with special emphasis on aseptic/sterile manufacturing .
Special Skills: An excellent ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Mandarin and English language preferred.
Ability to work remotely from manager and manage remote/virtual resources.
Must have significant experience with customer relations, managing diverse teams and multiple sites, budgeting, project management and project financial analysis.
Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time.
Must be comfortable working collaboratrively in a matrix environment delivering engineering/business solutions to a diverse set of stakeholders.
Must be self motivated and capable of taking initiative to achieve business goals.
