Purpose of the position
Enhance sales and business development between Panalpina North China with a dedicated RDM as main contact for Asia. RDM to drive NCN prepaid business via supporting general sales with Panalpina Asia information and pricing support. RDM to drive collect business via centralizing NCN generated sales leads to relevant counterpart at Panalpina Asia

Key Tasks
1. Responsible for the development and implementation of a route strategy, route marketing and
active business development/sales.
2. A primary sales contact for area and sales counterparts on the respective countries/areas as well as
primary trade contact to procurement.
3. Support the TLD in the definition and implementation of the overall trade lane strategy
4. Responsibility for achievement of annual targets on the assigned areas and countries: Volume and
GP
5. Primary Trade sales contact and responsible to grow the volume in air and ocean on a specific Trade
Lane. Supports Area Sales team with specific country know how (and hunt for targeted accounts
(mainly big SME5)
6. Identify and prioritize accounts based on targeted commodities and lane segments, as defined by
Corporate and consistent with area and business units operations.
7. Promotion and marketing of Panalpina air freight and ocean freight services to/from respective
countries/areas in alignment with local sales organization.
8. Provide and disseminate market intelligence to stakeholders of respective trade lane (local sales
organization, trade lane management as well as local procurement, etc.)
9. Gather market intelligence to support setting of competitive MSR’s and other sales tools in
cooperation with the TLD.
10. Liaise respective country and area counterparts to establish bilateral partnerships in order to achieve joint targets.
11. Follow up on our area trade lane target list to move potential business towards a successful end in return remove non potential business from it.
12. Plan/coordinate/conduct Customer Sales Trips (CST’s) from/to the target areas.

5. Marketing & Sales experience (minimum 7 years)
6. International working experience an preferred but not required
