Responsibilities:
- Complete Customer Due Delligence Deployment
- Create Customer level CDD file.
- Affiliates and Remediation for current customer CDD file.
- Review of Level 1 alerts and document findings using the AML case management system.
- Review of Manual alerts & referrals generated by different areas of the bank.
- Referral of alerts to onshore Relationship Managers where there is insufficient information to determine whether there is suspicious behaviour.
- Escalate all completed reports to onshorecompliance team for closure and reporting to authorities as appropriate
- Providing daily and monthly MI as specified
- Must be able to exercise discretion in the process of identifying problems/ issues regarding suspicious activity (Fraud/AML)
- Updating case based data into the case management tool
- Establish and implement all money laundering rules in transaction monitoring system covering all bank products
- Undertake other assignments as given by the Team Lead
- Support ad-hoc report creation/generation
- Develop domain expertise in AML/Fraud Risk Management
- Handling clarifications from Junior analyst and doing quality review (whenever necessary)
Qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree (preferably in a Business/Finance/Accounting related field)
- 2+ years of relevant experience in KYC/AML investigation/analytics or Risk Management is mandatory
- Team management experience is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in making quick, high quality decisions on complex issues
- Ability to conduct logical investigations
- Good understanding of banking or financial operations and systems
- Ability to engage/conduct Client communication
- Ability to manage assignments and team (if required)
- Ability to work with concepts and with minimal assistance
- Ability to work equally well independently and within a team
- Handling team queries/issues (if required)
- Excellent time management skills
- Experience working on discrete, time sensitive projects
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
