Job Description:
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Inventory Costing
1. Ensure accurate and timely accounting of all inventory related transactions including intercompany purchases, goods return, deferred orders etc.
2. Responsible for timely closure and reporting for inventory cost accounting during month end close including preparation of related journal vouchers and performing necessary account reconciliations.
3. Perform cost variance analysis, investigate irregularities and take correction action.
4. Ensure good controls over inventory scrap process and prepare related documents on a regular basis in order to support local statutory declaration requirement.
5. Work with Warehouse on the physical count of inventory on a periodic basis, reconcile results and ensure all inventory adjustments are approved and booked in a timely and accurate manner.

Fixed Assets
1. Perform accounting entry on fixed assets including additions, transfers, disposal, impairment, write-offs etc. in line with group policy and accounting regulation.
2. Understand the difference between US & PRC GAAP of original cost/useful life/depreciation & amortization, and perform accurate accounting entry on both legal and management book.
3. Responsible for timely closure and reporting for fixed asset accounting during month end close including preparation of related journal vouchers and performing necessary account reconciliations.
4. Ensure asset tagging on physical assets in a timely manner
5. Coordinate with fixed assets physical count based on requirement, reconcile results and ensure all related adjustments are approved and booked in a timely and accurate manner.
6. Investigate potential obsolescence of fixed assets and perform the relevant accounting treatment.
7. Track expenditure for fixed assets against budget and support all analysis related to fixed assets.

Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) and Internal Control
1. Maintain and update SOX documentation on costing and fixed assets activities in order to ensure the documents represent the company's existing situation; and
2. Recommend remediation plan to address SOX findings in order to ensure compliance with SOX regulations and related group policies

Policies and Procedures
1. Execute the daily operation according to inventory costing and fixed assets related policies and procedures;
2. Ensure policies and procedures are well understood by relevant departments and deviations/exceptions are duly approved and documented.
 
Audit Support
Support external and internal audits for inventory costing and fixed asset accounting areas in order to ensure that audits are completed in a timely manner
 
Continuous Process Improvement
Assist accounting manager in identifying potential areas for improvement, support the implementation of the initiatives in order to drive continuous optimization.
 
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
1. Bachelor degree or above, majoring in Accounting / Finance. CPA /ACCA is a plus.
2. Minimum 5 years finance accounting experience with at least 2 years in Costing, FA, or similar role in a MNC
3. Knowledge of PRC and US GAAP is a plus.
4. Good at MS Office; good Excel skill is a must.
5. Good command of English, both written and spoken.
6. Take initiative, have a strong sense of responsibility and good attention to details.
7. Good communication skills and the ability to work well independently as well as part of a team.
