Job Purpose
Membership is the key element in RICS’ overall offering to the market. The membership team is critical to this success, led by the head of membership.
The purpose of this role will be intermediary between marketing and project manager to support membership operation strategy in China (including university program) in line with our business plan.

The professional understand comprehensive RICS well and especially membership assessment and operation.

Engagement manager focus on regular and special project in membership team and provide strong support to head of membership, with the market analysis data, evidence and documentary report.


Key Achievements & Responsibilities
The engagement manger will support head of membership in implementing membership operations strategy in China in the following areas:
1. Operation Service
- Regular data analysis report with all APC assessment based on current pathway, in the aspect of passing rate, resource analysis and industry breakdown; meanwhile, the membership new growth database management

- New type of membership development, including associate membership and academic membership identification with route and guidance in China. Keep the unification and updates with UK in terms of guidance, localized application in China

- Internal membership marketing promotion content draft and coordination on documentary translation

- Support on membership subs collection with other regional teams
- Work with internal membership team to provide support to APC assessment
- Work with external team on necessary support

2. University Program

a. Maintain RICS accredited degree university
- Follow up the strategy made by head of membership, to keep the regular relationship with current accredited degree university, including regular visit, understand the demands and make sure the long-term cooperation; provide the line manager with the first-hand feedback
- Establish the university database with college students and former graduates, to contribute membership team and management for development with the industry
- New campaign with university planning and carry out

b. Trial on the development with new accredited degree university
- As the long-term planning, to work out the target list and plan with well-known university in China for the future 2-3 years


Key Relationships
? Internally – head of membership, membership manager, sales team, training team, communications team
? Externally – individual MRICS, university and other potential organizations recommended by MRICS

Experience Required
? Experience in marketing, client relationship management and operations within a professional body preferred
? Experience on marketing or business development in B2C or B2B is preferred
? Experience on market insight analysis, academic analysis and data analysis; Detail and service orientation
? At least 5 years’ experience in a related position
? Relevant professional qualifications desirable

Skills Required
? Ability to work independently to carry out duties in line with the business plan
? Good understanding on internal needs and external market demand for membership development and operation
? Willingness to develop relevant skills and experiences as part of the membership team in China
? Willingness to establish strong links and influence colleagues who will not be in direct line of command (eg. functional managers in China and globally)
? Willingness to build relationships with potential members and existing members
? Willingness to converse, convince and persuade with credibility at all levels
? Willingness to represent and portray the RICS brand to existing and prospective firms
? A developing understanding of the importance of relationship management in the context of profitability, life time value and market needs
? Excellent interpersonal skills, an outstanding team player with a positive attitude
? The ability spot opportunities where others fail
? Languages – Chinese (Putonghua) and English language skills are mandatory
? CRM- familiar with CRM system are considered priority
