Job Description



1. Job Summary


· Responsible for all statutory, financial, tax & management accounting, reporting and compliance for Fisher Clinical Services (Suzhou) Company Ltd.

· Ensure internal controls are in place & adhered to, make recommendations for improvements.

· Prepare statutory & tax accounts and ensure compliance with tax & accounting standards & legislation.

· Provide timely & accurate local & corporate reporting.

· Required to liase with auditors, company secretary, lawyers and relevant authorities.

· Maintain the financial systems & documentation & control all ledgers (GL, AP, AR, FA, Inventory) .

· Provide financial information, advice & support to local, regional & Network management teams.



2. Job Duties and Responsibilities



· Manage all ledgers to ensure they are correctly maintained in accordance with Chinese accounting standards, US GAAP and ThermoFisher policy.

· Responsible for the Balance Sheet and P&L monthly reconciliation.

· Manage intercompany process, including month end reconciliation & monthly I/C netting process.

· Manage and review fixed asset & inventory processes, maintain registers and organize periodical physical asset & inventory counts.

· Co-ordinate and facilitate information for internal and external audits.

· Support the Regional Controller in all financial, treasury and taxation matters of the group including budgeting and forecasting.

· Ensure timely and accurate local and corporate reporting (e.g. HFM, corporate tax pack, budget).

· Manage cash, banking, foreign currency, loans, payroll, expense claims.

· Responsible for the day to day processing of all accounts payable functions (supplier invoices, reconciling statements, payment runs, supplier queries, setting up new supplier accounts).

· Responsible for the day to day processing of all accounts receivable functions (raising customer & intercompany invoices / credit notes, setting up new customer accounts).

· Responsible for all credit control functions (customer credit checks, issuing monthly statements, responding to customer queries, chasing payment & ensuring customers keep to payment terms).

· Responsible for all general ledger postings & transactions.

· Prepare & maintain local policies & approval matrices to ensure internal control & protection of company assets.

· Undertake ad-hoc feasibility studies and projects.

· Perform any other duties related to your post as a Finance Executive as will be determined by the Regional Financial Controller.




3. Decision making / Financial Authority


Sign off and authorisation responsibility as detailed in the Authorization Approval Matrix.

Signature power for bank and financial returns.





4. Principal Contacts



Internal: All levels of employees within FCS Suzhou, finance departments within other Fisher Clinical sites & Corporate office, Regional Controller and Network management team.



External: customers, suppliers, auditors, bank, lawyers, SIP and tax authorities.







5. Education / Qualification


Professional Accounting Qualifications

Ledger Accounting experience essential, service industry experience preferred.





6. Experience / Skills


· Possess a professional accountancy qualification from a recognised accounting body with minimum 3 years of experience in a position with a similar level of responsibility.

· Written and spoken English is a prerequisite for this post.

· High degree of IT literacy.

· Experience in Hyperion consolidation software or CODA accounting system is an advantage but not essential as on the job training will be given.

· Able to work under pressure and commit the time required to meet tight deadlines and manage time zone differences.

· Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Team player & self motivated.
