Role Overview:
The IT Service Delivery Manager is a highly collaborative role working closely with internal management and external clients to design, deliver and maintain high quality IT services within agreed Service Level Agreements.
A project driven role, the successful candidate will be required to manage global IT teams and deliver global projects to multiple services lines. Setting service management standards and introducing a structured framework for Global IT Operations.
The IT Service Delivery Manager will be key support to the IT Director in the delivery of a Global IT Strategy.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Support the Global IT Director in the delivery of the Global IT Strategy.
· Work closely with Service Line Directors and Production Teams to design technology enabled tools and processes to help streamline production activities.
· Work closely with Business Development in the design of IT Services in support of client service delivery.
· Manage global projects with large scale activities that span multiple IT teams and business partners
· Lead projects by facilitating communication, coordination, planning and execution across IT teams and business partners
· Manage project meetings, schedules, milestones and delivery
· Prepare project correspondence and presentations, as needed, for status reports, executive updates, meetings, annual planning, etc.
· Change Management owner for the integration of new services, changes and acquisitions.
· Champion and driver of continuous improvement to operations and processes throughout the IT service provision and wider business where applicable, to cultivate and sustain a culture of continually ‘raising the bar’ for the performance and delivery of ICT services.
· Work with Global IT Teams to standardise high quality support services and implement Global Strategy, Policies and Procedures and Compliance.
· Full ownership of the ICT Service Support and Service Delivery methodologies, functions, processes and tools.
· Managing internal and 3rd party service review meetings to validate service performance versus defined and agreed SLAs
· Defining and implementing new services, as required, and drawing up the necessary Contract and Service Level Agreement controls to administer the delivery of these services.
· Ensure that IT Service Design and Delivery adheres to Global Security Policies and Standards.
Technical Skills:
· Strong technical background with 7+ years’ experience in IT roles i***olving infrastructure design and support including telecommunications networking, applications and web services implementation
· Thorough understanding of the Microsoft Service Stack to include on premise and Cloud Services
· Strong Project Management experience – Certification a plus (PRINCE 2, PMBOK etc)
· Demonstrable evidence of understanding of ITIL functions, processes and roles - Certification a plus.
· Management experience, managing technical and service delivery teams of 5+
· Ability to communicate technical items to a non-technical audience. Participate in the review process of existing issues and customer satisfaction metrics and recommend process or technology changes to improve service.
Behavioural Skills:
· Good problem solving, analytical and oral/written communication skills. Requires the ability to work in a fast-paced e***ironment and use judgment to prioritise tasks.
· Excellent facilitation and presentation skills. Cultural adaptability. Virtual and remote team management ability.
· Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organisation, including executive team level
· Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
· Able to manage sensitive and sometimes confidential information
· Experience Preferred: 7+ years.
· Estimated Travel %: 25%.
