Key Responsibilities
• Applies specialized knowledge of engineering principles and practices to assigned tasks to develop and support activities in the area of electrical & electronics engineering. This may include one or more of the following: Developing the electrical and electronics specifications. Designing electrical and electronic systems and components. Analyzing and simulating electrical and electronic capabilities. Implementing and generating software.
• Verifying and validating controls, hardware, or software. Tuning controls. Releasing controls, hardware, or software. Troubleshooting controls, hardware, or software issues. Servicing and maintaining controls, hardware, or software.
• Electrical and Electronics includes all electrical and electronic elements within the system: Open and closed loop controls. Diagnostics and OBD. Algorithms. Datalinks and communication networks. Electronic control modules and related microcontroller architectures. Electronic devices. Sensors and switches. Actuators, electric motors, alternators/generators, and relays. Electrical and Electronic tools and information products. Electrical and Electronic tool interfaces. Interconnects and harnesses.
• Work with US/India team members to understand DPF+SCR system development and support CES China engineering efforts to develop NS VI, CS IV engine after-treatment system for both Cummins and non-Cummins customers.
• Use system analysis skills to i***estigate aftertreatment performance characteristics. Use data analysis skills to reduce test data, visualize results, and present conclusions
• Participate in full system vehicle testing to prove acceptable system performance. This includes test trips such as e***ironmental cold/hot tests.
• Use test design skills to develop OBD test and calibration methods as required by NS VI, CS IV regulation.
• Responsible for specific after treatment calibration parameters. This may include test design, data reduction, parameter tuning, results presentation and post release validation
• Assess the robustness and capability of new designs in meeting their customer expectations through participation in design reviews.
• Develop and manage to individual work with direct supervision from the engineering leader.

Education
• Strong academic background in mechanical engineering principals, especially internal combustion engine or automotive engineering
• Diesel engine after-treatment technology familiarization is a plus but not required, strong willingness to develop and learn new skills in after-treatment technology development field
• College, University, or equivalent degree in Engineering required. Advanced degrees are preferred.

Working experience
• Good understanding of basic engine combustion/performance/emissions and diesel engine aftertreatment chemistry
• Knowledge of new product introduction process sufficient to support integration of aftertreatment into engine development processes
• Capability of reading/programming software algorithm and code
• Proficiency in data reduction and analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel and /or Matlab
• Knowledge of Cummins engine CPE development, calibration process, engine controls and electronic calibration tools

Cultural/Language
• Demonstration of Cummins core Values.
• Good presentation skills as well as written communication skills both in Chinese and English

康明斯排放处理系统是全球***的道路和非道路商用车市场发动机后处理技术方案的集成提供商，为轻型、中型、重型和大马力的商用车发动机开发和生产各种排放解决方案与系统产品。其中，康明斯排放处理系统（中国）有限公司成立于2007年，公司位于中国北京亦庄经济技术开发区，开发生产欧四、欧五和国四、国五及以上排放标准的排放处理系统，是集排放处理系统产品开发、生产和销售为一体的康明斯排放处理系统的在华独资企业。

 

发动机事业部
发动机事业部生产和经销功率范围宽广的柴油和天然气发动机以及相应的零部件产品，用于汽车、工业和发电设备等领域。康明斯发动机排量2.8~91立升，功率范围覆盖60~3500马力，广泛应用于重型卡车、中型卡车、巴士、房车、轻型商用汽车和皮卡车等公路用车辆，以及工程机械、矿山设备、农业机械、船舶和铁路等非公路领域。
