About the Organisation:
Our client is Asia’s leading Food & Beverage business management solutions provider, offering
a comprehensive range of integrated solutions for the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and lead the R&D activities including Software Development, Quality Assurance
Track/Manage R&D schedule, develop project plans and proactively identify and resolve issues, ensure projects are completed on time on time with high quality
Evaluate and identify appropriate technology platforms (including web application frameworks and the deployment stack)
Facilitates communication upward and across project team including project status, justifications for variances and technical information (architecture, design and implementation objectives)
Working with all operational areas (sales, marketing, Product development, operations) within the company to ensure that our products continue to lead the industry in quality and functionality
Participate as a member of the senior management team in establishing governance processes of direction and control to ensure that objectives are achieved, risks are managed appropriately and the organization’s resources are used responsibly
Key Requirements:
B.S. degree in Computer Science or related field, Masters or PhD degree preferred
10+ years experience in software design, development, and implementation
10+ years in MIS applications development, implementation and support experience
5 years of software development experience in B2B/B2C environment
5+ years experience of leading a team of > 30 people
Ability to translate business needs into technology requirements; ability to identify and create technology solutions for requirements
Familiar with POS software and hardware
Required Background:
Strong experience in leading a team and project management
Extensive experience in SaaS software development, web application development, J2EE technology, web service technologies
Successful track records of delivering commercial software and innovative technology on time
