Responsibility
?Responsible for tuning and profiling of Java/J2EE EJB telecommunication server application. Review of existing software architecture and work on future architecture for stability and a maximum of performance
?Responsible for designing and documenting appropriate and optimized database schemas.
?Responsible for creating the database creation and migration scripts
?Responsible for designing the database capacity planning tools to size the volumetry of our software database according to our customer business perspective
?Responsible for managing our database instances and support the software development with the database administration
?Responsible for supporting the development team in optimizing the SQL requests, and for supporting the maintenance team for customer database related issues
?Responsible for performing some performance test, load tests and robustness test and to analyze the database and software application performance for tuning of our whole product
?Support the maintenance team for database related customer issue
Required knowledge
?Degree in Computer/Informatics /Software Engineering, or related fields.
?Expertise with Oracle 9i and Oracle 10g is a must.
?Hands-on experience in Java development, JDBC, Hibernate, WebLogic.
?Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, optimization, execution plan analysis.
?Experience in database design (development) as well as the database production problematic (performance, monitoring, volumetry, backup, ...)
?Good knowledge in following Unix system: Linux RHEL 4.0, RHEL 5.2, Solaris 10. Unix scripting with ksh and bash must be known.
?Experience of working in a team that delivers a high availability service
?Practical experience in monitoring and tuning a database to provide high availability
?Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as a DBA Software Engineer using Oracle.
?Minimum 5 years experience in UNIX integration domain
?Relevant Java development experience
?Oracle Certification, Oracle 10g a minimum, Oracle 9i is a plus
?Knowledgeable on TCP/IP, HTTP 1.1 (persistent connection / pipelining), Java JVM optimization
?English : Good level
?Nice to have already performed software Tuning & Profiling
