Job Description:

Job Purpose and primary objectives:
Implement and monitor HR Practices for China enabling the region to achieve its objectives through the attraction, engagement, retention and development of its employees.

Business Partner with Regional Management to provide support and coaching on all HR matters and initiatives in order to support the growth of the region.

Key responsibilities (please specify if the position is an individual one or part of a team):
This person will be an integral member of the HR EMEA & APAC team who are based in London, Japan and China. They will be supported by HR Centres of Excellence (CoE) based in India and will work alongside a Recruiter based in China. They will be responsible for providing a full HR business partner service to a client group of c100 employees including c10 management level with plans to grow the business by 30% yoy.

On Boarding for inpats and local hires, conduct on boarding orientation for individuals and region

Supervise benefits administration process executed by HR Shared Services (based in India) and ensure legal compliance.

Mobility - co-ordination with Account Management and Immigration Team (based in India) to facilitate travel and ensure compliance with Immigration.

Off Boarding - completed separation formalities including exit interviews and separation interviews.

HR Policies - create and update regional policies to reflect business environment and changes in law, seeking sign off from Regional HR Head and buy in from relevant HR CoEs e.g. C&B, OE, L&D, Immigration etc.

C&B - Provide inputs to C&B to understand regional differences, market salaries.

L&D - understand most required trainings within the region based on the performance management calendar. Seek sign off from Regional HR Head on training requirements and co-ordinate with L&D (based in India)

Legal & Compliance - Identify applicable legal mandates at state, federal and central levels. Create/define processes for compliance. Participate in internal and external audits and take corrective action as required.

HR Operations & Business HR - Identify HR transactions that can be offshore to the HR Shared Services Team and train on the same. Conduction employee engagement related activities. Plan and participate in initiatives for employee retention. Understand client/customer expectation from account/delivery managers and its implications on people issues. Champion and manage corporate initiatives e.g., talent management, performance management, Leadership development programmes.

Key Skills/ Knowledge:
Fluent in English & Mandarin
Strong HR business partner/ generalist experience
Exposure to IT environments advantageous
