Field Operations Translator

This position is based in Gaoqiao. Work schedule is 28 days on, 28 days off. Company will provide accommodations on days on. Transportation is to be provided from home location to Nanba/Gaoqiao. Salary is paid over 12 month period. Please provide CV in English. This is a field location and requires capability to work in different temperature climates -10C to +40C. Company living quarters environment and sharing room. Will be on 24/7 callout and go out to different well pads and main facilities as needed. This is a Natural/Expat employee work location.

Key Job Responsibilities
Technical Translation / Interpretation
Provide day-to-day oral and written Field Operations interpretation and translation for the Operations Team.
Expected to be able to understand technical terms and concepts used in production operations.

 Translation Organizational Capability
Generate and maintain the dictionary of CDB technical terms and other reference material as required cultivating the overall competency of the linguist staff in the CDB operating area.
Should be familiar with gas processing terms, general construction terms, and industrial safety terms.
Review, correct, and provide constructive feedback to other members of the Nanba linguist community on written and oral translations.

Safety Focus
Works closely with Operations Superintendent to assist with the implementation of safety training, behavioral based safety observation program, compliance reviews, audits, RCA’s, emergency preparedness, near-miss/incidents reporting, safety meetings, and process improvement initiatives.

Job Requirements
This is a new Sour Gas development project in China. Responsible for activation and production of sour gas wells and surface facilities in assigned area (once completed by D&C) that are distributed over a large mountains region. Sensitive community issues will be encountered due to relocation of families for well development and laying of pipeline right-of-ways. Development and training of Petro China personnel is critical to success of project. Must have the maturity to operate independently and focused on the mission of safely developing first gas. Basic Knowledge of Base Business initiatives WRO, SERIP is essential to this position.
This position requires a strong understanding of gas processing’s works, must have the ability to quickly translate and transfer information from Gathering Stations to Supervisors and Operators alike.

Educations:
Minimum requirements:
College degree in engineering discipline preferred with strong English abilities.
College degree in English with understanding of hydrocarbon processes.
Previous Experience
1-5 years working in a engineering career, hydrocarbon industry
