Job details / role purpose
To Lead AWP Procurement strategy for the automotive network of service providers, hiring, negotiating, contracting and prioritizing providers for AWP Automotive Roadside Assistance activity. Develop procurement methodology and documentation, implement the best financial and operational networks to support business strategy.
Key responsibilities
Provider Network Development
? Develop new network capabilities for emergency and lifestyle services to support business strategy.
? Develop existing networks in new geographical areas to support business needs.
? Screen the market to search and hire new providers for same networks and same geographical areas, in order to foster service quality and price competition for AWP core services.
? Support the creation of new products based on new potential capabilities to be developed.
? Promote AWP as a credible and professional partner to the provider network.
? Understand business and operational needs and promote continuous development of services.
Procurement methodologies
? Elaborate and execute procurement methodologies focused on obtaining the best price and best quality outcomes.
? Ensure a highly objective and impersonal process leveraging data and pre-agreed formulas to determine winning providers.
? Define provider priorities and volume allocation.
? Provide tracking of costs and costs savings based on implemented procurement decisions.
? Investigate new methods of contracting services from the network, proposing new solutions such as fixed fees, franchising model, fee per service, hybrid models, or others.
? Work with pricing areas (underwriting) to define vendor price targets based on tender assumptions.
Cost monitoring
? Implement dashboards and frequent analysis on best quality / cost solutions for the business, with short term correction of provider priority rankings, when adequate.
? Investigate and monitor provider invoicing trends and deviations, instructing related areas on how to avoid leakage and frauds.
? Recommend changes in vendor selection and dispatch practices to ensure optimal cost / quality outcomes.
Operational Processes
? Propose new processes and technologies that might support cost management.
? Work with provider performance management area to monitor the quality of execution of services, and build quality / price assessment.

Data Collation and Completion
? Ensure all product & service data is up-to-date and relevant including catalogues and promotional material
? Ensure NMS is maintained as the central repository of all Provider data
? Develop minimum level standards regarding insurance, memberships and qualifications
Management Accountabilities
Communication
? Establish and maintain clear lines of communication with relevant stakeholder groups as frequently as is required to deliver joint outcomes
? Develop strong, productive relationships with the Sales & Distribution, & Finance/Underwriting/Business Analysis teams to jointly develop solutions to meet the strategic objectives of the business
Performance management
? Monitor operating costs, people & service metrics for all new network products & service introduced & identify recurring themes and trends requiring remedial action
Learning and Development
? Ensure that Providers learning and development requirements are met in-line with the strategic objectives of the business
Profile sought and key requirements
Experience & knowledge of Provider Procurement
? Previous & proven experience in managing & implementing complex and nationwide vendor procurement policies.
? Experience in the automotive / automotive servicing sectors is highly expected.
Commercial Negotiation
? Previous & proven experience in successfully negotiating profitable outcomes & product supply relationships with providers & suppliers
Business Analysis & Improvement Skills
? Statistical analysis

? Ability to identify process issues & implement solutions
? Six Sigma process improvement experience highly regarded

? Advanced influencing skills

? Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite required in order to manage own administrative functions
