Main Tasks:
1.Serve as a key active member of the contract risk management team, interacting with internal customers to ensure business objectives are met and the organization is performing to “best in class” standards.
2.Provide formal written advice to separate business risks from insurable risks and collaboratively work with the global underwriting teams such as Freight Service Liability Insurance Program underwriter to obtain risk pricing so as to bring the cost of risks to internal customers (business colleagues) for formed decisions.
3.Provide risk management advice, support and guidance to key stakeholders on commercial contract risk.
4.Identify risk exposures arising from provision of services outlined in customer contracts, giving risk management based advice and elements for risk pricing.
5.Interface with management of the top 100 accounts, including Legal, Security, Finance and other relevant functions on cross business unit contracts and arrangements (including those covered by collaboration framework agreements) to deliver holistic risk guidance.
6.Contribute to strategic initiatives to help drive improvements and future direction of the contract risk management service line and increase commercial contract risk advice and support, contributing to the success of the internal customers meeting their commercial objectives.
7.Contribute to contract risk process optimization and performance improvement. Providing solutions to improve efficiency, turnaround time, encompassed with delivering quality trusted advice.
8.Manage high volume of contract risk enquires, identifying high complex contracts, time critical and non-standard contracts and prioritizing accordingly. Conduct reviews aimed at ensuring that risks associated with customer agreements are identified and propose changes where necessary to contractual liability, indemnity and other provisions. Ensure identified risks are communicated swiftly and clearly to DHL internal customers and their end customers together with alternative solutions where applicable.
9.Identify risk exposures arising from provision of services outlined in the Scope of Work and or customer contracts.
10.Determine (or recommend where scope exceeds standard activities) elements for risk pricing and provide risk mitigation strategies. Working in close partnership with internal customers, Global & Regional Insurance & Risk Management, and where applicable end customers and lawyers.
11.Maintains understanding of the business, the internal customer, and their challenges to establish a clear vision for the service provision; gathers customer needs and aligns with business goals.
12.Proactively establish internal customer relationships across all BUs within Greater China, with a key focus on some industrial sectors of the end customers and contribute to increase Contract Risk Management service line’s presence and market share development.
Qualifications & Attributes:
1.Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Legal, Finance Management or other closely related field
2.10+ years’ contract risk management experience
3.Strong background in cross border engagement, providing commercial contract risk advice
4.Good industry experience in one of the following; Logistics & Supply Chain, Warehousing & Storage, Automotive, Life Science, or Engineering & Manufacturing.
5.Experienced with providing contract risk management services to multiple stakeholders
6.Excellent in written and spoken English
