BU TR ENG S&I: Job Description “Functional Safety Manager& FMEA Moderator”-Yejia Wu

Responsibilities:
- Assures the definition of project functional safety responsibilities for entire system and subsystems in the project
- Coordinates and plans organizational safety activities in cooperation with BU Safety Manager
- Assures that all safety-relevant internal and external interfaces are documented (Development Interface Agreement)
- Performs the Functional Safety Reviews
- Provides technical direction, training and support to project team members
- Leads technical feasibility analysis and technical effort estimations of safety related work for projects and quotations
- Supports regional customers to define safety goals
- Collects and communicates regional knowledge to global functional safety development
- Performs and/or moderates safety analysis, FMEA, FMEDA, FTA, DFA
- Provides input to the global technical platform roadmap
- Supports global platform architecture design and documentation
- Ensures synchronization with global platform planning
- Regular communication of global FSM updates to the local organization and project teams
- Leads systematic problem solving for safety solutions

Requirements:
Must:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field, preferably Electrical or Software Engineering
- At least 4 years professional work experience
- Knowledge and proficiency in the Automotive field
- Solid experience and proficiency with ISO26262
- Solid experience and proficiency with FMEA, DFEMA, FMEDA and FTA
- Ability to work independently, high attention to quality and proactiveness
- Solid communication skills
- Fluent in spoken and written English

Should:
- Master’s degree in a related engineering field, preferably Electrical Engineering
- Cross-functional engineering work experience (hardware / software)
- Transmission Control System knowledge

Nice-to-have:
- Experience in Requirements Engineering
- Experience in architectural design
