POSITION Senior System Engineer-software products-Japanese Speaking

DIRECT REPORTS TO THIS ROLE

KEY OBJECTIVE
(Outline key/overall objectives of the role)
Collaborate with Oracle Japan Systems BU, Product & Partner Solutions team to provide technical support to Oracle Japan internal sales and Japanese partners for Oracle engineered system with Oracle software stack .
Work as pre-sales technical support engineer .



SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
(Outline specific tasks/responsibilities of the role)

? 1. Be the expert for the Oracle engineered systems being worked on.
(Mainly on the related Oracle software stack products )
? 2. Work on support matrix to provide reliable interoperability & compatibility information of
? Sun-Oracle Systems hardware and OS to Oracle Japan internal sales and Japanese partners.
? 3. Work on technical inquiries from Oracle Japan internal sales and Japanese partners to provide them
timely responses in Japanese.
? 4. Potential QA Work on new products / new features in future to satisfy Japanese partner's
quality requirements.

Required Skills:
1. Strong background of Solaris or other Unix operating system(HP-UX ,AIX etc.) or Linux (OEL, Red-Hat etc.)
- Good understanding of either Unix or Linux OS' key features .
2. 2 years+ working experience of either of the following 3 aspects
- Oracle Database (DBA experience of RAC, ASM is a big plus)
- Fusion Middleware (eg> Weblogic )
- Virtualization product line (eg> OVM for SPARC or x86/64)
3. Japanese Level 2 or above certification or equivalent, good written communication in Japanese.
4. workable spoken and written English.


Desired Skills
Technical experience on any of below areas is a strong plus:
- For OS and platform
Good understanding of the architecture of disk I/O interface (eg> SCSI,FC,SAS).
Good knowledge of Unix or Linux Network Stack.
- For Database
OCP certification will be a big plus.
- For Virtualization technology
Working experience with VM (eg> OVM(SPARC & x86), VMware) will be a big plus
- For development skill
Working experience with C, C++ ,J2EE will be a big plus
- Other
Engineer who is Careful, responsible, self-motivated.
Engineer who has Strong Analytical skills and self-study capability

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE and TRAINING

? 1. BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
? 2. Minimal 3+ years professional hardware or software technical experience.
