Our customer is an European company, as a global specialty chemicals leader, is headquartered in Shanghai. With more than 15 companies in China specializing in the production of performance materials (Polyamide), functional chemicals (Novecare and Silcea) and services (Energy Services; and a global R&D center, where more than 100 scientists create innovative products in the automotive, electronics, home and personal care, oilfield and agricultural formulations fields.

BASIC PURPOSE

• To Deploy the company Manufacturing excellence programmes in Asia for competitiveness, Reliability, Continuous improvement in order to improve Sites industrial operational performances such as OEE, Working capital, Reliability (risk management)
• To strengthen and lead the WCM network of the Asia Pacific zone
• To enhance the competency development of human resources in the manufacturing area cascading down WCM knowledge and corporate’s step change initiatives deployment to sites in order to ensure their manufacturing competitiveness align with corporate direction .
• To assist the Industrial Director of the zone on specific missions and projects as needed.

JOB SPECIFICATION

• Chemical engineering or Industrial Engineering background
• More 10 years’ rich experiences of plant, operation and supply chain management;
• Familiar with World Class Manufacturing methods in a capital intensive activity.
• Excellent consultancy and teaching experiences
• Willing to spend most of his time in the plants
• Able to challenge and motivate people at all levels of the organization
• Able to understand the key value drivers of the enterprises, in order to integrate WCM in their strategy
• Strong communication skills
• Strong customer orientation
• Good command of spoken & written English and at least one major language of the zone (preferably Chinese)
