Position：HW Engineering Expert
Location : BJ
Description
As a Hardware Project Leader (HPL), he or she is responsible for the HW pre-evaluation, development, design validation, certification, quality control and cost reduction on Tablat/Gateway/STB project development. He or she will work in a world-wide hardware platform organization and cooperate with other R&D centers in France and USA.
Responsibilities
1. Execute the hardware design of projects assigned to you.
- Analysis of customer requirements.
- Creation of the detailed product hardware definition.
- Feasibility study on complex technical blocks, managing execution of the designs done by ODM (e.g.: schematic, layout, hardware testing, regulatory).
- Review HW design verification test plan and report.
- Hardware debug support for the driver and firmware engineers in system development.
- Co-work with the peers (including overseas), follow up schedules and communicate / provide clear inputs to the project manager, ensure the milestone is on-time achieved.
2. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the team's technical capabilities by
- acting as a technical consultant for the projects;
- Be sensitive to new things and introduce new technologies to the team.

Skill Sets
1) General
- Good oral and written English skills and excellent communication and motivation skills.
- 3 years of experience in product realization of electronic customer premises products, including taking products from concept to production stage.
- 5 years of experience in digital and analog hardware design.
- Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) required, with master degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) preferred
- Knowledge and experience on WiFi, BT,Zigbee/RF4CE/LTE.
- Knowledge and experience on LCD/TP
- Knowledge and experience on battery
2) Specific
- Experience in SD/HD video, analog/digital audio design is a strong plus.
- Experience in Broadband product design is a strong plus.
- Knowledge and experience on Docsis and DVB (Digital Video Broadcasting) system a strong plus.
- Knowledge and experience on xDSL and DECT is a strong plus.
- Experience in high speed circuit, simulation, EMC, Safety is a strong plus.
- Experience in thermal, de-rating and MTBF design is a strong plus.
- Experience in interfacing with the factory and expertise on factory processes is a strong plus.
- Experience in a large multi-national company is a strong plus.
- Willingness to take the ownership. Good team player. Pro-active and co-operative.
Negotiation skills
Accustomed to work in a multi-cultural environment with teams spread over multiple sites
Fluent in Mandarin and English (oral + written)
Willing to travel to China/Taiwan for short periods
