POSITION SUMMARY
To act as the primary resource for the Finance Director and partnering with the wider China territory covered business including theatrical, production and digital, in respect of the financial reporting and compliance requirements of company in China.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and work with outsourcing vendor to ensure all general ledger transactions are correctly processed
§ General ledger account reconciliations performed, approved and any items resolved.

Ensure all monthly reporting tasks completed accurately and in a timely manner.
§ All monthly reporting requirements met.

Ensure all monthly reporting package requirements are prepared in a timely manner
§ Monthly required internal finance reports prepared, reviewed and distributed to FD and other requestors within agreed timelines.

Ensure compliance with tax legislation
§ Review the tax filing document prepared by outsourcing vendor and ensure all relevant tax returns completed in an accurate and timely fashion.

Maintain fixed asset register – including controlling/accounting/ recording procedures
§ Work with outsourcing vendor to ensure all fixed assets correctly accounted for (both tax and accounting ledgers).
 
Assist Finance Director and manage outsourcing vendor also work with external/internal auditor to ensure audit work are completed in an effective and efficient manner, support FD to work with HQ compliance team for all compliance testing work done
§ Positive audit opinion.
 
Assist Finance Director on preparing and deliver all relevant financial and reporting requirements, including overhead budgets, actual, and comparative to forecast analysis
§ Agreed commitments and deadlines met, including month end reporting and overheads
 
Assist Finance Director for all contract routing and payment review and approval
§ Support FD to work with outsourcing vendor on all contract chopping and payment approval document checking, as well as communication with business requestor and outsourcing vendor, external legal for issuing resolving.
 
Update GTS for box office and ad-pub ( if required)
 
Assist Finance Director on finance analysis related reports and data preparation, include but not limit to:
§ Title performance.
§ Market and Competitor’s performance.
§ Our performance vs other relevant company markets (revenue, costs).
§ Exhibition performance – including site level analysis trends (e.g. impact of competition, refurbishments, premium cinema, temporary closures).
 
Actively contribute as a key team member within specialist area, as well as through effective participation across all functional areas
§ All functional KPIs met or exceeded.
 
Participate in ad hoc projects as required
§ Achievement of overall organization/team strategic objectives and goals.

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED
§ Microsoft Office ( excel, ppt etc.) literate.
§ Analytical skills, with high attention to detail.
§ Team player
§ Self-motivate

EDUCATION (OR EQUIVALENT) AND WORK EXPERIENCE
§ Degree qualified (Accounting/Finance)
§ At least 3-5 working experience in relevant function
§ Big 4 background or in house accounting/finance manager experience is preferred
