Position Identification
Position Title: Human Resources Manager
Reports To: General Manager
Business Unit: Corporate Management
Location: Shanghai, China

Position Summary
The primary focus of the role will be to handle all HR operations functions that include but are not limited to recruitment and selection, compensation and benefits, performance management, annual salary review and employee relations. A high degree of coordination ability will be required to manage initiatives and organizational design support while ensuring HR goals and objectives are consistent with the company’s business objectives. Key duties include maintaining and enhancing efficiency of internal HR policies, business practices, roles and responsibilities as well as HR processes.

Performance Review Period
At the end of the probation period and then as a minimum at the conclusion of each financial year

Position Requirements
Listed, but not limited to, are the key competencies and experience for this position.
Experience and Education
- Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Management or Business Administration. MBA or Master degree preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of overall HR experience with a strong understanding of the labour and employment laws in the PRC
- Good team player, with strong ability to work closely with internal and external people
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word / Excel)
- Prior experience in leading, coaching and mentoring direct reports
- High attention to detail with experience in rapid and complex changing work environment
- Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese
 
Key Responsibilities
Listed, but not limited to, are the key responsibilities for this position.
1. Management
- Provide HR support to all levels of the organization with emphasis on talent acquisition, labour and employment law compliance, benefits, compensation, training and development and employee relations
- Manage the HR processes related to specific functional areas within HR as required/assigned
- Insure compliance with all government employment related statutes are met within the company
- Manage HR programs/practices to complement the achievement of long term strategic business objectives.
- Ensure annual performance reviews are done for all staff – including KPIs and performance monitoring while administering performance management programs and corrective actions
- Drive KPI accountability and visibility throughout the organization
- Comply with all System in Motion corporate directives
2. Staffing and Recruitment
- Lead talent acquisition efforts including strategic planning, reporting, salary negotiation and on-boarding of new staff
- Investigate employee relation matters and recommend appropriate actions.
- Facilitate and anchor orientation and induction programs for the new hires to ensure smooth transition into the company
- Implement monthly, quarterly and yearly fun activities
3. Training and Development
- Ensure adherence and administration of all HR policies, procedures, guidelines as well as operating and measurement systems
- Actively coach and counsel managers in people management practices
- Identify training and development needs and coordinate programs
- Proactively identify and advise management of changing market trends and impacts to the company
4. Reporting
- Prepare and publish timely weekly reports to the GM
- Ensure compliance with government reporting requirements
- Provide HR analyses as needed
- Reports to the General Manager and CEO as required
5. Miscellaneous
- Work cooperatively with Corporate Management and Business Unit Managers to maximize communication efficiency within the organization
- Travel as required for this position
- Other tasks as directed by the General Manager / CEO
- Work with Management and staff for the benefit of the company.
