Key Objectives:
- Function within the Team “R&D Business Development and Strategy” of EN-CN
- Report to Head of Business Development and Strategy
- Long-term localized function, as of 01.01.2013
- At least 12 months support and build up together with Expat from FC-5x (extension likely and possible, depending on future R&D activities in China).

Major Responsibilities:
- Multi-Project Management and Control
1. Setting up a multi-project overview (cockpit) for and consolidation of project roadmaps & milestone plans
2. Synchronization for all EN-CN departments to regularly update the multi-project overview and resource allocation
3. Process definition and deployment for resource control and for consistent resource allocation within EN-CN
4. Planning process to be established in EN-CN for new and ongoing projects
- Resource Management and Control
1. Establish (define & implement) planning process within EN-CN for headcount, budget and investments
2. Establish forecast process within EN-CN for headcount, budget and investments
3. Establish EN-CN internal milestones for resource planning and monitoring in alignment with the forecast process of BMW AG, NSC, BBA and other legal entities.
- Key Account for project submissions (R&D proposals and offers)
1. Establishing the “offer process” in EN-CN (R&D Services to different legal entities such as BMW AG, NSC, BBA, BCS/MC, etc.)
2. Building the interface to internal (BCS/MC) and external (BMW AG, JV-BBA) partners for the financial and resource related aspects of R&D services provided.
3. Building up an alignment platform with partner functions such as B5-CN-F, B5-CN-P, MC, FC-5x, FC-CN, BBF-2 etc.)
4. Definition and Rollout of internal documentation process for resource utilization (recording of work hours/days per project for legal and tax reasons, documentation of results for accounting purposes
etc.)
- Complete multi-project plan for all R&D projects in EN-CN incl. consistent resource plan (headcount, budget, investments)
- Process and Roadmap for update cycles for multi-project cockpit.

Knowledge / Skills / Competences:
• Knowledge of high-tech or automotive product development process (PEP)
• 3+ years experience in automotive or high-tech industry in China.
• Proven track record of long term engagements (3+ years with one employer) to show that the candidates contribution to his/her work has been fully implemented.
• 3+ years of experience in a function which included planning of projects finances and resource allocation.
• Experience in multi-project management essential.
• Communication skills to work in a large and networked environment.
