Major Responsibilities:
? Acquiring of strategic projects including pre-analysis of project feasibility (concept options, appropriate supplier, business case, given team skills, timeline), setting up argumentation and presentation towards the management and/or customer
? Defining the product characteristics / specifications and financial targets together with the interface partners (sales, finance, management)
? Set up of / collaborate with according (virtual) team including sales, purchasing, production, finance, after sales
? Drive the discussion and agreement with the corresponding AG-partners in Germany
? Find solutions / processes to overcome obstacles
? Check target fulfillment and challenge technical solutions / processes if not meeting the targets.
Knowledge / Skills / Competences:
? Knowledge of high-tech or automotive product development process (PEP)
? 10+ years experience in automotive or high-tech industry
? 3+ years experience in operative project management with proven responsibility in a product development environment
? Proven track record of long term engagements (3+ years with one employer) to show that the candidates contribution to his/her work has been fully implemented.
? Very good understanding of project management elements and methods, handling challenges in daily business and the meaning of working with targets
? Experiences with individual process and network within BMW FIZ advantageous
? Fast perceptivity and understanding of technical contexts in a vehicle
? Very good communication skills to work in a large and networked environment including technicians and non-technicians with the ability to explain complex contexts in easy words / slides.
