Title: AP Commodity Senior Buyer
SBU: Sourcing & Logistics
Reports to: Regional Sourcing & Logistics Manager
Location: Shanghai
Position Purpose:
The incumbent is responsible to develop and execute buy strategies, in alignment with business and global sourcing strategies for Performance Coating business in AP.
Position Responsibilities:
The incumbent shall
? Responsible for vendor identification, evaluation, qualification, negotiation, and execution of raw material sourcing agreements,
? Develop and execute buy strategies that are aligned with global sourcing strategies
? Understands the business's challenges, issues, and future needs to create competitive strategies and plans
? Accurately analyzes total cost of product/service to meet business's short- and long-term financial success
? Ensure competitive pricing service versus industry trends and market place dynamics.
? Resolve service, supply and invoicing issues with suppliers.
? Identifies and drives continuous improvement in the buy and in the contractual relationship with suppliers.
? Work collaboratively with other sourcing colleagues to develop and share best practices and procurement process improvements.
Knowledge/Skills/Attributes
? Proven leadership skills and strategic planning capability
? Solid interpersonal/facilitation/influencing skills
? Strong analytical and negotiation skills
? Ability to work effectively in a cross functional and cross business environment.
? Experienced in structuring purchase arrangements, and handling difficult supplier relationship
? Exhibits high business ethics and principle based behavior
? Ability to communicate across all levels, energetic, enthusiastic, with a positive attitude
Education/Qualifications/Experience:
? Bachelor degree or above in Chemical Engineering or Material Science.
? 8 Years or above of Sourcing or Manufacturing or Technical experience.
? Six Sigma training or Green Belt Certified.
