GENERAL ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Management level responsibility for site Quality Assurance efforts on project package or packages. Act as direct point of contact with for all QA/QC matters with the construction vendors and contractors at site level. Provide leadership and technical expertise and primarily manage relationships with other functions or disciplines of the project.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the Quality Assurance/Quality Control Management System for construction efforts on project through installation.
Manage the coordination of quality inspections & testing with site General Contractors and Vendors. Review and monitor inspection and testing programs by Contractors and Vendors.
Review and audit quality plan, method of construction, testing plans, etc. submitted by Contractors and Vendors.
Monitor and verify quality related site activities to make sure they are in accordance with the applicable codes and Company Standards.
Review of implementation of the approved QA/QC plans by the Contractors and Vendors.
Manage the distribution of relevant QA/QC documentation to all team members and document control archiving.
Conduct site internal and external site audits of Quality Assurance. Manage the control of all non-conformance reporting and undertaking of remedial action.
Assist Construction Manager to monitor sample, mockup submittals for approval.
Monitor and verify contract application for payment by 3rd party Testing and Inspection agencies and Engineering Surveying companies.
Coordinate and chair the QA/QC site weekly meetings with the Contractors and Vendors.
Coordinate with all Show and Ride representatives on all quality matters.
Manage the review and undertaking of relevant quality trainings on site.
Ensure the safety of the Project is adhered to at site.
Assure all technical documents relative to Site Quality Assurance are current.
Adherence to all personnel policies and company handbooks
Required Qualification:
10+ Years job related experience strongly desired.
Proven experience managing the Quality Assurance and Quality Control for the construction process and documentation.
Experience in performing quality audit process.
Process good knowledge of project management.
Familiar with ISO 9001, ISO14001 & OHSAS18001 standards.
Good understanding of local & international codes and authority requirements.
Computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Good interpersonal, leadership and analytical skills.
Good written and spoken skills in both English and Chinese languages.
Self motivated with energy and drive to deliver effective outcomes.
Ability to successfully manage personnel providing leadership, mentoring, coaching and guidance Ability to successfully lead project team including consultants, staff extensions, contractors etc...
Recognized degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or related profession.
