The area: New Product Solutions
The New Product Solutions (NPS) group is the link between Product and Sales at Google. NPS helps take product innovations and turns them into client solutions that enable our customers to get the most out of their spend with Google. NPS team members ensure we have the right commercial strategy for our products and bring product expertise to Sales, enabling front-line Sales partners to sell effectively and quickly. We are passionate about all things digital and want to shape the ever-changing world of online advertising.
The role: Head of Platforms, GCN
Reach for new revenue-generating heights as a Sales Googler. Businesses that partner with Google come in all shapes, sizes and market caps, and no one Google advertising solution works for all. Your knowledge of online media combined with your communication skills and analytical abilities shapes how new and existing business grow. You leverage your entrepreneurial drive to target, educate and persuade new customers to embrace Google's latest advertising products and technologies. Using your influencing and relationship-building skills, you provide Google-caliber client service, research and market analysis. You anticipate how decisions are made, understand the details of individual campaigns and persistently explore and uncover the business needs of your key clients. Working with them, you set the vision and the strategy for how their advertising can reach thousands of users.
We are looking for a seasoned online marketing executive who is looking for an opportunity to build a business, equipped with the world’s best technology suite. You will be motivated by the multi-year goals of building a substantial business. As Head of China Media Technology Platforms, you will be responsible for the sale of Google's platforms products. Additionally, you will be the public face of our Media Technology Platforms business in China, with key responsibilities to represent Google in public forums, drive market education, and communicate internally regarding local market requirements. You will do this by working with Product Management on product features that need enhancement or new features that clients require to achieve their goals.


Responsibilities:
Acquire accounts, mostly agencies, by creating relationships with the client organization at all levels.
Build and manage a team of new business sales professionals.
Work cross functionally with colleagues from Support, Product, Marketing, Public Relations and other key functions.
Set and manage new business sales execution to achieve quarterly targets.
Produce a business plan for all growth clients and execute according to the plan.


Minimum qualifications:
BA/BS degree (In lieu of degree, 4 years relevant work experience).
10 years experience of operating in the Greater China region, in the field of digital advertising, offline advertising or enterprise technology sales.
5 years experience working in a management capacity with responsibility for P&L.


Preferred qualifications:
Ability to work in a dynamic environment, combining strategic planning, problem-solving, rapid action and feedback.
Strong track record in visionary leadership.
Demonstrated strategic and analytical sales approach with focus on building relationships with clients.
Strategic business planning skills and entrepreneurial experience is a plus.
Ability to effectively communicate in both English and Mandarin, collaborate with a diverse range of people and job functions.
