Candidates for consideration will be responsible for supporting testing and developmental efforts in connected and automated vehicle technologies and establishing and maintaining relationship with governmental and community organisations.

Position Duties:
Ford Motor Company is expanding engineering activities in the field of Connected and Automated Driving. Candidates for consideration will be responsible for supporting testing and developmental efforts in connected and automated vehicle technologies and establishing and maintaining relationship with governmental and community organisations.
Key areas of focus may encompass:
- Systems testing and validation of V2X (Vehicle To Everything) communication technology and features
- User Experience and human factors studies of V2X communication technology and features
- Support of prototype vehicle design and build-up
- Networking with governmental, automotive and telecom industry organizations, standardization bodies as well as research institutes and universities, such as Society of Automotive Engineers of China (SAE China), China Automotive Technology & Research Center (CATARC), China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), etc., in the area of connected and automated driving
- Representation of Ford China in the organizations mentioned above. This includes on the one hand bringing in Ford’s position into these organizations as well as delivering relevant decisions, policies and information back to Ford.
- Close cooperation with Ford internal departments, such as Product Development (PD), Sustainability, Environment, Safety and Engineering (SESE), Government Affairs (GA), etc.
- Elaboration of strategies for cultivation of Ford’s image in the political and social environment
Required Position Qualifications:
- Strong interdisciplinary background in science and engineering with focus on vehicle communication. A Master in Physics, Mathematics, Signal Processing, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Graphics, or similar fields.
- Demonstrated experience in V2X communication technology and features as well as automated driving.
- Demonstrated networking experience with governmental and industry organizations, standardization bodies as well as research institutes and universities.
- Independent and self-reliant working attitudes
- Strong networking skills: effectively and efficiently working together in interdisciplinary teams and strong experience in negotiations and conflict resolution
- Demonstrated experience in in Chinese regulation, policies and legislation
- Language skills: Business fluent in Chinese (Mandarin) and English
