Objective of Job
The jobholder provides leadership to coordinate and further develop the cost controlling function for this firm. This includes preparation of respective planning cycles, regular reporting of actuals and pro-active identification of deviations and mitigation measures to leadership team. Project controlling and related project portfolio budget management constitute significant part of the team’s work scope.
Task designation
Review and ensure regular Controlling and Reporting to fulfill internal and external requirements. Internal requirements include information for monthly HQ reports, KPIs for local management meetings, business development summaries and the balanced scorecard.
Provide comprehensive and timely management information. Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget, discuss results and deviations with Business Heads. Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance and provide analysis for ad-hoc requests.
Implement and perform regular project controlling for project pool, including development of tools/templates provided to project leads and analysis of deviations and initiation of measures.
Work with other F&C department teams to achieve finance excellence initiatives for system / process standardization, automation and simplication. Provide constructive, analytical and predictive model for forecast and measures to achieve profit optimization.
Coach and develop staff for knowledge, experience and expertise excellence.
Qualification required
Education/Knowledge:
University degree with majors in finance, controlling or economics; MBA/CPA/CFA preferred:
Proficiency in financial analysis with knowledge of budgeting, forcasting, and cost controlling principles.
Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
Profound computer skills in MS Office; SAP and TM1 preferred.
Experience:
Five to ten years of experience in relevant finance positions, ideally in international finance/banking industry.
Leadership experience preferred.
Special skills:
Analytical person with high self-motivation and strong team-focus
Willingness to work in highly dynamic environment with distinct pro-active mindset
Strong interpersonal skills in multi-cultural environment
Ability to motivate and develop team to produce quality deliverables with tight timeframes
Advanced communication skills (written and verbal) in English and Chinese.
