Position: Application Innovation - Expert Database Developer


Purpose and Objective

In-memory computing is one of the major drivers for SAP to accelerate the business success of our customers. Application on HANA will make the difference for an accelerated market adoption of in-memory computing, and deliver tremendous value to SAP customers.

We at Application Innovation started the journey already, now we are looking for highly motivated and energetic Database Developer to join us to contribute to this strategic game changer. You will have the opportunity to know the state-of-the-art in-memory computing technologies in SAP, fully exploit your database talent and expertise on the brand new platform to make the revolutionary change happen to SAP flagship ERP products, such as SAP Business Suite and SAP Business One, and make the world run better.

Expectations and Tasks:

Design and implement complex SQL queries and database Stored Procedures
Optimizing queries on high volume, high availability OLTP system
Monitor database and systems utilization, maintain database performance by troubleshooting and developing tuning methodologies; determine problems and solutions
Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing database performance and trends.
Design, architect and implement scalable database solutions.
Provide reliable technical advice and guidance to developers on various database issues.


EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:



Key requirements:

Bachelor degree or higher on computer science or related.
In-depth knowledge of database structures, theories, principles, and practices
· Excellent programming skills for SQL, strong ability in writing and troubleshooting SQL Code and design (stored procedures, functions, tables, views, temp table, triggers, indexes, constraints )

· Rich experience in Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, using Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler and other related monitoring and troubleshooting tools, able to detect and troubleshoot DBMS related CPU, memory, I/O, disk space, lock and other resource contention.

Familiar with SQL Debugging, Optimizing and Performance tuning.
Good programming skills for at least one programming language, Java/.Net/C++
Fluent spoken English with solid international working experience
Basic understanding of the software development life cycle

WORK EXPERIENCE

At least 8 year (or 5 year with master degree) working experiences in SQL development on relational databases (Oracle, MSSQL etc.)
Minimum 1 year experience as a developer of ERP or equivalent systems
