This is a key role to support Nuance’s Mobility sales activities in China.
As a technical contributor to the sales team, the Senior Sales Engineer will be the liaison between the customer, the sales organization, product management, professional services, R & D and management. It is important that the successful candidate has a strong technical background, preferably with experience selling complex software solutions to mobile OEMs.
Experience with speech recognition technologies and applications will be highly regarded.
SCOPE
The position will be focused on sales support activities including technical presentations, value proposition development and arranging and delivering demonstrations to Nuance’s Mobility customers. It is critical that the candidate be able to elicit and document the customer’s requirements and communicate these through the Nuance organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
? Working with customers to understand and document their business requirements, building value propositions and proposals and educating customers.
? Based on the documented requirements, work with the Sales team, Product Management, R&D and Professional Services to architect innovative solutions to meet customer requirements.
? Create work estimates, proposals and Statements of Work for customer solutions.
? Working with customers to help them understand the technical aspects of Nuance products and services.
? Be a subject matter expert, providing technical content for sales proposals, tenders and reports and coordinating responses with internal teams.
? Technical account management including technical lead qualification, technical training, maintaining communication with the counterparts, ensuring proper and current information flow to and from the account.
? Driving customer follow-up, meeting notes and actions for Sales initiatives.
? Addressing the role proactively and with the necessary urgency in conjunction with the priorities agreed with management
.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
? Minimum 8 years relevant Mobile industry experience.
? Experience with relevant embedded & cloud-based system hardware & software solutions and architectures (processors, platforms, operating systems, SDKs, etc.).
? Experience working in a pre-sales capacity with customers to understand their business and technical requirements.
? A team player who is eager and able to work in a multicultural environment with experience working with global teams and remote organizations.
? Excellent communicator with an analytical approach to problem solving/reporting.
? Native Mandarin oral and written skills
? Fluent oral and written English.
? Excellent Mandarin and English presentation and communication skills. Experience presenting to audiences and leading technical workshops.
? A self-disciplined and self-motivated individual, able to work with a minimum of direct supervision.
? Speech and/or linguistic background an advantage.
? Bachelor and Master degree in EE, CS or similar from a well known university
