The Business Intelligence and Reporting Specialist is a key member of our Business Intelligence and Reporting global team. He/she is accountable to ensure appropriate business intelligence, decision-making and reporting solutions are delivered. He/she translates business requirements into functional and technical specifications.

The Data Analyst will participate to a global multi-year roll-out of new information management solutions built around SAP across all Dow businesses in Asia-Pacific.

Primary Responsibilities
? Create business intelligence tools or systems, including design of related databases, spreadsheets, or outputs.
? Deliver Reporting solutions to meet business requirements on schedule and in accordance with the strategy of the BI and reporting global team ;
? Collaborate with clients to identify ways in which BI and reporting solutions can be used in creative ways to support the client's business, including leveraging in BI's functionality for combined reporting ;
? Work with end-users and business partners to understand requirements, design and estimate solutions ; Analyze functional requirements and assist in the development of detailed data mapping, data querying, data mining, data reporting solution ;
? Document specifications for business intelligence or information technology (IT) reports, dashboards, or other outputs.
? Assist in the development of accurate documentation for BI and reporting solutions
? Participate in the testing of developed solutions to ensure that software products are high quality and that business needs are met ;
? Work closely with other application analysts in coordinating application life cycle planning for BI applications used across the organization ;
? Contribute to developing and maintaining best practices as they relate to SAP Business Warehouse ;
? Mentor junior members of the team.
Critical Success Factors
? Translate business requirements into BI technical designs.
? Develop BI extractors, ODS, cubes, Infosets and Data Structures/Transformation Rules.
? Expert knowledge in Data Modeling, Data Acquisition, Security and Authorizations and Performance Tuning.
? Project and hands-on experience in large-scale business intelligence projects
? Ability to communicate and interact effectively both within the team and with external stakeholders e.g. business, and technical counterparts in other teams
? Ability to analyze business requirements and high level functional designs, and translate these to detailed technical specifications and functioning software systems in an efficient and cost effective manner.
? Able to work independently with minimal supervision
? Able to collaborate and coordinate effectively with other teams, and project participants to accomplish tasks and deliver results.
? Ability to successfully work with onsite and offshore teams, whenever needed, without compromising existing service levels and customer satisfaction rate.
? Communicate status, metrics, risks and issues on a timely basis.
? Proactively works with the project team to manage project scope and requirements.
? Effective English communication skills both oral and written.
Qualifications

Must Haves:
? University degree with a major in Computer Science, Manage Information System, Business Administration, Engineering, Sciences or other related fields.
? 3+ years SAP Net weaver BI development & Data warehouse experience, specifically with hands-on experience working with
? Strong business analysis skill
? Excellent English communication skills (written and oral)
? Strong initiative and a proactive mindset
? Highly adaptable and a fast learner
? Able to work effectively in a globally-oriented, high performance team-based work environment.
Nice to Haves:
? Excellent skills for data analysis, modeling, data extracting, query design and other miscellaneous BW skills
? Strong experience as a report developer with expertise designing, building reports & report structures.
? Solid knowledge of SAP master data & transactional elements SAP modules (SD, MM, PP, HR.).
? Worked in major industry or in chemical industry experience is preferred.
? Involved in a system implementation project from start-up to implementation
? Held jobs supporting and working with a number of work process, business.
