Position Summary and Primary Objectives
The Field Service Support Agent is responsible for providing support and troubleshooting all complex local area network (LAN) hardware and software. The role is also responsible for testing and deploying basic hardware and software environments and assisting in the technical troubleshooting relevant to the client’s territory of support. In addition, this role is responsible for desk side end user support of all mandated end user compute systems and devices.


Major Duties & Responsibilities
? Installation of hardware on the LAN
? Installation of application software programs on the LAN
? Walk customer through problem-solving process and follow-up with customers to ensure issues have been resolved
? Install computer peripherals for users
? Communicate plan, progress and issues in a timely manner
? Resolve technical problems with LAN and WAN connectivity
? Assist engineering staff for installation, support and troubleshooting of hardware/software within the client’s territory of support
? Provide on-call services as required
? Image and/or configure end user devices including desktops, laptops, and mobile devices
? Provide desk-side support to end users
? Provide hands-on support for the service desk and other support towers, as needed


Education/Qualifications Required
? Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
? Microsoft / Cisco Certifications are a plus


Work Experience Required
? 1+ years of experience in an IT related field
? Minimum of 1 year work experience and knowledge of Active Directory administration and the latest Windows Operating Systems
? Experience supporting a 1,000+ user environment
? 1 year of work experience supporting, maintaining and administering core Microsoft applications, including Windows XP/7 and Office 2007/2010
? 1+ years of experience supporting Apple hardware and iOS, preferably Macbook Pro and Air platforms along with experience with Parallels


Skills and Core Competencies
? Possess excellent customer service, verbal and written skills
? Requires experience in the set-up, configuration, use, and trouble shooting of computer
? Understanding of ITIL concepts and processes
? Must have a wide range of skills and knowledge in computer hardware and software as well as networking systems
? Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear, concise and easy to understand manner is imperative
? Proven ability to complete multiple simultaneous projects in a timely manner
? A team player willing to develop and share Intellectual Capita
? A strong client service orientation
