Responsibilities:
? Generate leads and work with prospects to define customer requirement and POC (proof of concept)
? Win bid/deal from customers for license purchase and responsible for supporting the implementation of the product via service contract.
? Handle critical deployment and customer support activities directly with customers, and engage with product engineering team for technical issues.
Educational Requirements:
B.S. in Computer Science, or related technical discipline
Minimum Qualifications:
? Strong understanding of the SQL protocol, as well as MySQL, MS SQL and Oracle database technologies.
? Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems particularly CentOS 5.7+ and 6.2+.
? Experience with creating and maintaining high availability environments.
? Expert level scripting skills in SQL, BASH and Python.
? Basic understanding of C and/or C++ is preferred.
? Able to handle multiple project and customer cases at once.
? Very strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
? Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
? Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems down to the TCP Packet Level.
? Self-motivated and flexible.
? Willing to travel if required.
Preferred Qualifications
? Prior experience as a DBA is a strong plus.
? Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment as a Level 2 Support Engineer, and someone who exhibits strong technical support leadership.
? 5-10 years experience as a Level 2 Support Engineer supporting database deployments at major accounts production environments.
