Role: Product Manager, China
Report to: VP&GM Sales and Marketing, China
Based in Shanghai

Job Description:
The individual in this role will be the iRobot Product Manager for China
1. Guide the development of iRobot products based on China user insights
2. Assess the competitive product landscape in China and shape the global innovation roadmap based on Chinese consumer, retailer, and competitive contaxt
3. House iRobot’s product knowledge for the local marketing and sales team
4. Develop pricing and promotion guidance for iRobot products in the Chinese market
5. Identify and develop claims and demonstrations which are relevant to the local Chinese consumer.
 

To succeed in this role, the individual must be able to demonstrate the following skills:
Education – Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in science and technology or equivalent academics, master degree or higher is highly desired.
Experience – Minimum 5 years related working experience (prefer in electrical appliance industry)
Language – Excellent command of written and oral English & Chinese language
Leadership – The individual should have demonstrated a track record of developing a vision and leading teams to execute against this vision to deliver bankable business results.
Collaboration – The individual must be able to collaborate with peers across functions as well as within product management
Technical skills and intuition – The individual should be able to understand technical concepts and think through them effectively. The individual does NOT need to be an expert in robotics or other related fields; however, he/she must be able to understand technical concepts and simplify them for communication to consumers.
Critical Thinking and Analysis – The individual should be able to critically think though abstract concepts and develop supportable hypothesis. He/she should be able to formulate recommendations on based on available data and defend them.
