Analysis and resolution of AMD Silicon and system issues based on AMD reference or customer platform designs. Debug performed with internally developed software/hardware tools and/or logic analyzer and oscilloscopes. Work with internal teams to escalate critical issue resolution in order to reach company milestones. The engineer role consist of :
1,Provide analysis and solutions of system issues for internal and customer teams
2, Define test fixtures, experiments and diagnostics procedures as needed.
3,Interfacing with design teams in a collaborative effort to resolve issues
SKILLS REQUIRED
1) BS-EE / BS-CE degree An advanced degree will be considered a plus.
2) Strong communication skills, good English required – verbal and written
3) Requires a good understanding of all PC Hardware elements (CPU, chipset, I/O devices, etc), Software (BIOS, Drivers, Operating System) and knowledge of PC architecture.
4) Requires a high degree of creativity and problem solving skills.
5) Knowledge with one of follows will be considered as a plus:
? Knowledge and ability with using Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers
? Schematic and PCB layout
? Linux OS
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
1) Support new product bring-up and debug
2) Work with validation and cross functional teams to resolve silicon & platform & software related issues.
3) Create test procedures and generate technical documents as needed.
