Position Account Manager, MICE

Reporting To Head of MICE



Job Scope

The Account Manager is responsible for planning & delivering A-Z service for corporate meeting and events up to 100 participants. Conduct site inspection & program budgeting management. Commercial practices with a clear focus to develop and expand the current and new MICE business & program. This challenging position provides leadership and promotes operational excellence to the team..

Summary of Tasks

To handle single or multi-destination program of Corporate meeting (up to 100 participant) and Events (up to 200 participants), Incentive program (up to 40 pax) and leisure groups.

To operate program, handle site inspection and invoicing our client upon completion of program.

To meet and, when required, entertain our overseas agents.

Cost negotiation with principals - airlines/hotels/ground operators

Maintain current customer base & nurture relationship with current clients and identify opportunities for new business

Utilizing a consultative approach, discuss business with customer and develop a formal proposal or formal sales presentation to address best solution and highest return for customer spending.

Deliver on operational excellence for customer and team

Evaluate and improve on business process & operations

Manage each program's budgets ensuring delivery of the agreed destination P&L.

Identify and create opportunities for regional synergies and business opportunities(cross selling, sell forward destination)

Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate superior.

Job Requirements

3 years relevant experience

Proven ability to manage aggressive revenue and growth targets

A proven track record in sales and account management

Experience dealing with multi-cultural clientele group

Ability to work effectively across the region

Fluency in English essential, preferably another language

Excellent interpersonal and communications skills including strong written and verbal

Ability to engage and develop positive relations with clients, suppliers and colleagues
