Background / Preamble
To date Micropross is NI’s largest acquisition investment, is aligned with NI’s highest objective to be #1 in automated test, and is key to NI’s growth in the key area of wireless test. As such, Micropross has clear visibility to the company’s executive leadership. This is an opportunity for a candidate to gain experience working with the NI sales organization in China / Taiwan and across major accounts.
Micropross, based near Lille, France, is a supplier of test solutions for smartcards, RFID, NFC, and wireless power. NI acquired Micropross in October 2015 and is in the process of integrating its operations into NI, which is expected to take 2-3 years. The goal is to grow the business with the acquired products and new jointly developed products. Enabling the China/Taiwan NI sales organization to sell and support these products is critical to the success of achieving this goal.
Job Description
1. Responsible for the Sales of NFC & Wireless charging Test solution on the market of China & Taiwan. Manage the relationship with the existing distributors to find the good balance and collaboration between distributor channel and NI Sales Channel to optimize revenue
2. Build targeted account strategies with NI regional sales for focused target markets including academic, automotive, semiconductor production test, and tier 1 device-level test
3. Manage requests of the NI sales channel with support from NI product marketing so that these requests do not impact the ability of Micropross to run their daily business and achieve the sales quotas through their existing channel
4. Provide market, product and support feedback to Micropross and NI for NFC and wireless charging applications
Candidate Attributes
1. Demonstrated successful track record in field sales, exceeding quota and successfully growing accounts/territory.
2. Be passionate, committed, and personally dedicated to ensuring success of Micropross Sales in China/Taiwan over a period of 2-3 years.
3. Capable of building personal and trusting relationship with the existing reseller network and Micropross team.
4. knowledge on NFC Market and NFC test tool would be appreciate.
Requirements
1. 5 years’ sales experience
2. Ability to travel in China/Taiwan to visit customers and NI sales team. Travel is likely 30-40% for this position.
2. Chinese or Taiwanese citizenship
3. Ability to perform added value sales demonstration with the support of the local SE and move forward to the negotiation phase in Chinese language.
